Cabines de style tropical avec vue sur l'océan

Good Hope Retreat est une retraite d'artistes privés désormais ouverte au public. Il se compose de trois extraordinaires maisons artisanales en bois de style île, construites à la main sur un domaine de quatre acres, situé majestueusement dans les hautes montagnes de Westmoreland, en Jamaïque.

Notre retraite est hors des sentiers battus, au milieu d'une végétation luxuriante, avec nos collines jamaïcaines surplombant la côte sud de l'île. Notre coucher de soleil depuis ce point de vue, à 700 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, est un spectacle nocturne exclusif de beauté. Des soirées fraîches et des températures diurnes chaudes mais modérées, les personnes qui apprécient beaucoup les merveilles et les phénomènes naturels seront sans cesse inspirées par tout ce qui se trouve et redécouvre dans la tradition rurale de Good Hope Retreat.

This was not just a vacation... it was a life-changing experience that's difficult to fully describe. The location is absolutely breathtaking, offering a genuine opportunity to disconnect from the noise of the world. You're surrounded by stunning nature, many types of birds, and lush plants, but most importantly, by genuine love and caring people.Sean and Geneva warmly welcomed me onto their property with great love and support. Geneva is an exceptional host who took care of all my needs, ensured I was always well-fed, and had transportation ready whenever necessary. During my 30-day stay, I experienced the authentic culture of Jamaica in ways you can't find at typical resorts. THIS WAS THE REAL JAMAICA EXPERIENCE!Thank you, Geneva and Sean, for welcoming me into your home and becoming true friends. I look forward to returning.P.S. OMG, Geneva can cook! This is the most idyllic, amazing, beautiful paradise you will ever stay in. We cannot recommend this enough. Geneva and Shaun are the most wonderful hosts, we are definitely coming back !! Firefly Cottage…What can I say? This trip was personal and purposeful. I was treated like family and not a guest. I was served, I was granted patience and overstanding. The view, the facility, the love, and the food made the ride to the mountaintop even more meaningful. I have more but I will leave it here until my return. I NEEDED what this environment was willing to feed me spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Geneva, Sean, Chaddon, Lucas, Toby, Austin…I appreciLOVE you all. Soon come😘

Staying here was exactly what we needed. We got a pleasant surprise for our anniversary welcome that the entire family played a role in setting up. Sean and Geneva were quite hospitable and gave us everything we needed. Firefly was sooo relaxing. Geneva and Sean were great host. The property was absolutely amazing. A true cottage ON the mountain. Hot water. But most of all Geneva cooking is incredible. We are Vegans and she made every meal perfect and delicious. But she caters to all lifestyles. I do plan on returning and plan on inviting friends.

My wife and I wanted to get away to someplace secluded, quiet and exotic that we could do some yearly family planning, reconnect and where I could still do some work on my day job. This fit the bill on all accounts. It's quite the adventure traveling across Jamaican and getting to the top of the mountain. A special shout-out to Roann who provided a great transportation service, took extra care to watch out for us during our stops and became a true friend. The accommodations were super cute, with the right balance of rustic and romantic, and Sean and Geneva were so fun to get to know. Geneva delivered the authentic Jamaican experience through her to-die-for cooking. Thanks for a great stay. Wendy and I hope to see you again!

The view of the coast line was amazing. If you are a lover of nature you will surely enjoy your stay here. Our host Geneva and her husband made sure we were well taken care of. We will surely visit again. I recommend that you bring your favorite drinks and snacks as this place is up in the mountains. Be prepared to be wowed by breath taking views of the Westmoreland coastline and it's mountains!

OMG where should we start!!! The place is absolute Paradise and the pictures don't do justice. The scenery is beautiful and secluded... The landscape is naturally beautiful and well maintained. If you want to live in the jamaican mountain-paradise, you’re more than right with Geneva’s and Sean’s „Good Hope Retreat“. After two weeks of holdidays we definitely knew we found a golden nugget up there and we actually didn’t want to leave. You live in a quiet cottage, so quiet that you can listen carefully to every sound of the jungle, at the same time you have a beautiful view at the ocean and are breathing the fresh mountain air. The hosts are very lovely and always help you out or give you some advice and knowledge about Jamaica. We somehow didnt meet as strangers, but as friends. And we laughed, played cards and even ate together. Btw I would definitely try Geneva’s dinner, she is an amazing cook and you always end up with something new and typical jamaican on your plate. We fell in love with the family of Geneva and specially with their retreat. What they give you isn’t a simple holiday, but a completely new experience of life. Just go and see it for yourself ;) One love.

What an amazing hidden gem we are so happy we found!! One of our favorite stays we’ve had in any country. Geneva and Sean are so welcoming and wonderful. Geneva is a wonderful cook!! The cottage is so peaceful there are not words to describe it. We enjoyed our quiet two days, reading and reconnecting with nature. The fireflies at night bring me back to when I was a child, running around trying to catch them in a glass jar. The air is so pure up on the mountain and everyone is so kind. If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of the beaches, please stay with Geneva!!! Such a wonderful experience!!

Incredible views from the cottage. Tropical flowers perfume the mountain air. Great bird watching and snorkeling. Sean and Geneva are great hosts. We loved interacting with their boys and cooking meals in their traditional outdoor kitchen. Geneva is a great cook, we recommend trying it out. We are glad we rented a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to the small community of Kentucky in the Jamaican Highlands. It is a 30 minute drive to the beach at Bluefields. We rented a double kayak from Luna Sea for $10 and did a 30 min paddle to the reef. The corals are beautiful and the tropical fish are numerous. Our best sighting was an Eagle Ray. If your not afraid of rough roads and mountain trails then you should check this place out. It is reasonably priced and the natives are friendly.

I was looking for a getaway for my anniversary. I didn’t want to do the typical hotel or resort. My first option wasn’t available but I’m happy it wasn’t. I wouldn’t have found this gem. The view is amazing. The cabin was cozy yet had all we needed. If you’re looking to unwind and disconnect from the huddle and bustle, this is the place. Geneva cooked for us for part of our stay and she did great. We’re vegans and she prepared tasty meals. I also cooked for a part of my stay and what I needed was provided. You may want to bring your own seasonings and the like. If you enjoy the outdoors and fresh air don’t let this gem pass you by. By the way, Geneva and Sean are amazing hosts. Not mention their children and big dogs (friendly ones).

This was a great experience! Geneva had amazing communication before arriving at Good Hope Retreat. The views from the mountain are truly breathtaking. Beautiful view of the ocean and you're surrounded by so many different trees and plants. You're able to enjoy a complete experience with Mother Nature. Eating fresh fruit from the trees, enjoying fresh fish, and other delicious meals prepared by Geneva. The cottage is very comfortable and spacious. It is a bit of a distance up the mountain, so you'll either have a long hike down the road or use the taxi services. The transportation was prompt and patient. Shawn and Geneva were very hospitable and welcoming. I definitely plan on returning!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Such gracious hosts and amazing views. A truly unique experience. We had dinner and breakfast and it was amazing, home cooked Jamaican brought to our porch overlooking the ocean and jungle. The pictures definitely don't do it justice, the views are insane right out of your front door. 10/10 would visit again.
