« The property was filthy. We reported the issues whilst we were there, and were advised to put it onto a feedback form when we left. We did this and have had no acknowledgement whatsoever. « Property was spotless, beds comfortable, Wi-Fi very good, kitchen well equipped, though none of the odds and end like salt and pepper often found in a self catering place so take absolutely everything you need with you. « Looks exactly like in the pictures don't expect modern furniture. old-school tv with satellite channels and working internet. I like the access road to the lodge covered in leaves - magic. I have stayed for 7 days, overall cleanliness was ok ( don't look under the beds). Warm rooms as long as you switch heating. beautiful views, quiet place. Bring your own water to drink, I wouldn't drink tap water. Enjoy your stay. »

The cottage was warm and well lit when we arrived and the fireplace was already prepped with a basket full of logs. The manager of the property was very friendly and she came over to introduce herself and check we had everything we needed. Strongly recommend and will be going back. »

« Welcoming staff and lovely building. Dinner was great but the breakfast was poor and I couldn't eat it. Never seen poached so hard, mattress on the bed was pretty 'used' with a big dip in it so not the most comfortable for the money. They also charged my card for 50% of my booking 2 days before our stay without permission and the balance on the arrival day rather than 'pay at property' which was how the booking was made. I then had to chase up the invoices. »
