The Space:
Located just minutes from Big Sky Resort, 23A Heavy Runner Road is a high-quality chalet retreat with elegant mountain modern finishes, Lone Peak views, and a spacious floor plan. This property features 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms spread over a 2,539 square foot, three-story layout. Vaulted ceilings in the living and dining room, large windows throughout the property, and a gorgeous rock fireplace creates an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Features include radiant floor heating, black stainless appliances, knotty alder doors and trim, beautiful metal accents, high-end lighting, two decks, and plenty of storage space. In addition to multiple walk-in closets in all of the main bedrooms, gear room entry way, the one car garage is built out with boot dryers, ski racks, and more.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen under twin bunkbed, Smart TV, office desk and chair, and a Peloton bike. There is a full bath with a shower/tub combination and a laundry room. The kitchen is fully outfitted with high-end cooking equipment and includes a chef`s pantry. The living room and dining area has incredible views of Lone Peak, large Smart TV, plenty of space to stretch out and relax, and a half bathroom. Off the kitchen and living room is a patio with furniture and a BBQ grill for aprĂšs-ski al fresco. The master bedroom is also located on the main floor and includes a king bed, walk in closet, and full bathroom.

The rear of the chalet features a brand new hot tub where you can melt the stress away with a starlit soak and plenty of privacy. Additionally, the third floor has two bedrooms with a king bed and a queen bed, shared bathroom, and two walk-in closets. This home truly has all the luxurious touches for the ideal vacation with family and friends. Just a quick jaunt from the base of Big Sky Resort and only 45 scenic miles from the West Yellowstone entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Lastly, with a free bus stop located nearby, everything that Big Sky has to offer is accessible with ease.

Getting Around:
We highly recommend that our guests rent a 4x4 vehicle during the winter months (October-May). Please be aware that shuttle services must be booked in advance, and rideshare options like Uber or Lyft are unavailable in the area.

Other Things to Note:
Parking: This unit is allowed 2 vehicles: 1 parked in the garage and 1 in the driveway.

Wonderful Stay

The condo was very beautiful and clean. Ascend Properties was very responsive and professional. The only disadvantage is that it's a short drive to the ski area, otherwise, great! Highly recommended!

Beautiful, brand new and spacious condo with incredible Lone Peak views

The property came exactly as listed and is in excellent condition (felt brand new). The amenities were very modern, with new appliances, the most up-to-date TVs and Sonos system, as well as smart lighting and blinds. The bedrooms were all very large with huge walk-in closets. It was very easy to keep clean and we even canceled a scheduled mid-week cleaning. The mudroom was spacious and 4 of us were able to boot up for skiing at the same time. The garage has ski racks and boot heaters, which made it easy to store gear at the end of the day. The view from the front deck was a perfectly framed view of Lone Peak, as we had front-row seats for the New Year's Eve fireworks at the base of the mountain. The back deck has a brand new hot tub, which was very easy to use and has a peaceful view of the back mountainside (look for the Fox, who seemed to be around each night) The only drawback was the location if you are without a car, as it is not walkable to the base. The Skyline bus stop is a 2-minute walk away and is a less than 5-minute ride up to the base, but only runs once per hour and the final bus leaves the base at 515p, so you need to get creative with the base mountain hotel bellhops to get a ride home. This is more of a critique of Big Sky transportation, than the unit, but we were told they are trying to improve transportation options around the base area, as taxis and Ubers are not available. Regardless, we highly recommend the property. Hannah at Ascend was great!

We were very happy with this property. The heated garage with boot and glove warmers was great for keeping the ski gear dry. The lower level bedroom with the bunk beds and pull-out couch was a great way to give the kids space while the adults enjoyed hanging out on the main floor. The layout was perfect for two families allowing everyone their own space and comfort while also having a well-stocked kitchen for entertaining and an incredible view of Lone Peak from the living room and deck. literally 2 minutes from the main base parking, it is hard to beat this location. I highly recommend this place and look forward to booking again in the future.

Very spacious, clean place to stay.

The space is beautiful and close to the slopes. A shuttle is available, you can drive about 3 minutes, or a 15 minute walk (which I do not advise). Large kitchen area great if you want to cook a few meals. Only complaint is that the towels were damp when we arrived. Overall still a 5 star experience.

Friends Ski Trip

Beautiful home and wonderful location. There is a shuttle (circulator) that picks up at the bottom of the hill to the mountain base and will return you back to that - make sure to check the schedule because it’s only once per hour. Very easy booking, huge townhome with a cozy fire. Hot tub was a dream.There are tons of boot mats and prep space before you hit the mountain - including a glove dryer which was a fun discovery. Highly recommend!

We loved this rental! It is about an hour and some from the Bozeman but well worth the drive - it is beautiful. Nicely decorated, cleaning products and linens supplied. Our only issue is that the rental company never responded to our several calls... we called Thursday evening and no one called us back Friday morning. Our fire alarm went off for no reason and stayed on for about 15 minutes . We could not turn it off and rental company never answered and fire department never showed up (might be an issue if there is a real fire). There is a list of things to do before you leave - take out trash, start laundry, start dishwasher, etc. Otherwise, great rental in a stunning area.

Great base for Yellowstone!

We were a group of 7 including 3 kids and 4 adults. Used it as a base for West Yellowstone . Overall we found this property to be very clean and the service to be prompt. The check in process was smooth. Only small points to note we did have to call the service a few times to locate things (and they were extremely responsive) and there is no AC ( a couple of nights the weather got quite hot)

Everything we wanted!

We stayed here for a friends' ski trip -- the first time for many of us to Big Sky, Montana. What an incredible town, and this was the perfect place to stay. Top marks -- Chefs in the group were impressed by the kitchen stocking!

Terrific stay

The property was very nice and thoughtfully stocked. Everything we could need from the standpoint of serving pieces was in the kitchen; mattresses, linens, and furniture was nice; and every detail had been considered (Advil was in the kitchen cabinet, snow shovels were located outside of each door). The management company was pleasant, responsive, and asked for feedback. I have recommended the property to friends.
