It is a beautiful house in a beautiful location. The kitchen is HUGE. The place is well stocked with essentials like body wash, shampoo, coffee, and even makeup wipes. The owner is very communicative. There is a theater room, foosball and a vintage type video game in the basement that really gave me nostalgia Let’s be honest. The main reason you would book this place is for the huge indoor pool. It looks amazing. The pool room is warm and gorgeous. It looks like a resort. Yes, there is evidence of a little water damage on the ceiling by the skylights, but the room feels opulent. There are plenty of towels and noodles by the pool. We had hoped to spend the entire stay mostly in the pool. The problem is that the pool is just a little too cold. It’s clearly heated. In the shallow area it’s even pleasant when you step in. But the deeper water is not enjoyable. I’m sure little kids would happily splash around until their lips turned blue. But multiple members of my party were unwilling to spend more than a few minutes at a time in the pool. I believe it is heated to 83-84 degrees (as fairly stated in the description). And I believe this is quite standard for western Maryland rentals (I checked several). So I am not claiming that I was deceived in any way. I just want to point out that 83-84 (and cooler in the deeper water) is not tremendously comfortable.
