This historic structure, with its rich past dating back over 100 years, now seamlessly blends vintage charm with modern luxury. Nestled in Valleywood Acres Inn`s 18-acre grounds, offers 3 bedrooms, a warm wood interior and a covered porch perfect for relaxation. Enjoy fishing, hiking, and nearby dining. Rich history, modern comfort, stunning grounds makes = irresistible retreat.

Indulge yourselves to your own country retreat - our Timber Creek Cabin, a genuine, century old, log cabin which has undergone an amazing restoration - breathing new life into its robust timber walls.

This authentic log cabin is part of `Valleywood Acres Inn and Cottages`, and sports a sprawling 18 acres of nature, walking trails, private lake and Esopus creek to explore, fish, heal your soul by the fire pits or just kick-back and relax on the covered porch

We raised the ceilings to create a bigger space and the living room has rich, warm hemlock wood clad walls, a nod to its roots dating back to the 1850s when the property was a hemlock tannery. A warm inviting stay awaits you.

** The 5 acre private Lake is fresh water fed and is swimmable. But there is no life-guard and you swim at your own risk **

Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the space in natural light and rough-hewn hemlock boards adorn the walls, sanded smooth for little ones` safety.
Two sofas and a custom spalted maple wood table allow for plenty of seating and comfort. Mountains, creeks and a private lake surround you - feel your stresses slip away. Tranquil, timeless, and exquisitely furnished, you may never want to leave this charming sanctuary that feels just like home.

* MASTER BEDROOM - 1 Queen Bed *
Immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of an Amish made log bed with our memory foam cloud mattresses. Custom made local art work and a dream catcher fill the walls. Lose yourself in a good book in the leather reading chair or just daydream - we don`t judge!

* BEDROOM 2 - 1 Queen Bed and 1 Twin Bed *
Celebrating the almost 2 centuries of history this bedroom proudly features a salvaged barn door from our own property as the headboard for the queen bed. The twin bed has a custom headboard and the same dreamy memory foam mattress.

* BEDROOM 3 - 2 Twin Beds *
The third bedroom is for the wildlife enthusiast with one of kind wall features, Amish made log twin beds and lots of fun with its woodland creature theme.

* COVERED PORCH *
One of the best features of the cabin. Fully covered with lots of furniture. Relax on the spacious porch with a book and a cuppa your favorite. In the fall curl up with a blanket and watch the leave change colors. Enjoy the views of the mountains and the private lake.

Whole house

We are always a text message or phone cal away. The caretaker lives 5 minutes away and will be around taking care of grounds

This is a century old Log Cabin. While we made every effort to renovate every part of the structure to make it safe for guests, we took care to preserve and maintain the character. The floors will not be straight and the building might creak. To preserve the character and period specifics, the century old timber beams are left exposed and the hemlock walls are not sanded smooth. They will be rough and handling them might cause splinters.

** Please wash your dishes - We do not have a dishwasher. Clean the grill if you use it. Guests please be aware the cleaning team does check the units but the guests before you have washed the dishes and cleaned the grill. Check before use.
** It`s the Catskill Mountains and there is wildlife. Please don`t place garbage outside unless it is in the trash bins provided.

** This cottage is part of `Valleywood Acres Inn and Cottages` there will be other guests in the cabins/units on the property
** The parking is in front of the cabin and can accomodate 2 cars, possibly a 3rd depending on size.

** Fishing is allowed! Please check local licensing rules.
** Lady bugs love the houses in Big Indian in the winter, we do everything possible to keep them out but they do try to get in and enjoy the warmth.
** Please be aware this is the mountains. There will be bugs and critters. Sometimes deer roam about or the geese and ducks stop by the lake. We love our wildlife and expect that our guests are kind and let them be. If you are really lucky you`ll see our family of eagles soaring around.

SOME RULES:
-NO PARTIES OR EVENTS unless have consent from the owners
-NO SMOKING and no recreational or illegal drug use whatsoever on the property
-PETS are allowed with permission. Please advise the owners before showing up with your pets. Our pet must be leashed at all times outside, not be left alone and must not be on the furniture. Any damage caused to the property will be recovered from the guests. No exceptions.
-Please DON`T REARRANGE FURNITURE. It scratches the floor and it delays the cleaning crew. If the cleaning crew has to spend time putting furniture back, you will be charged a surcharge of $50
-Please treat our home and amenities with the same respect you would your own
-Please DRIVE SLOWLY and carefully through the property and watch for playing kids
-Any evidence of smoke in the home after check out will be subject to a $1000 fine and any guests found to be partaking in illegal drug use while still inhabiting the home will be removed immediately, no refund will be issued and possible legal ramifications will ensue
-Please respect the neighbors and their property boundaries and respect the quiet times after 10:00 PM. Repeated noise complaints will result in removal from property with no refund
-Please notify us of any extra house guests as they must be approved before staying- you may be charged an additional fee or, depending on the circumstances, we will enforce a removal from the property for all guests immediately without a refund
-As usual, PLEASE KEEP CONSTANT SUPERVISION OF YOUR LITTLE ONES and maybe the not so little ones too ;) as you are near the water. The lake and creek are not fenced, do not have railings and we do not provide lifeguards.
-Report damages and anything in non-working condition. Thank you!
-We have provided make up remover facecloths for each unit. Please use those and not the towels so they don’t get ruined.
-It is self-check in and out with a smart code that will be given a few days prior to your booking.
-Guests are required to lock all windows and doors before they depart
