I stayed at Château Hotel for six nights during my trip to New Orleans. The location is fantastic, and the hotel looks beautiful in the photos. The pool area was nice and a great place to relax, although it’s quite small. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was disappointing. I booked a Deluxe Room with a balcony, but when I arrived, I was told those rooms were unavailable. Instead, I was given a room with a direct view into another building. After asking to change rooms, I was moved to another one that was honestly even worse. The windows couldn’t be opened, the room smelled musty, and even two days after leaving, my clothes still smelled like the room. Cleanliness was another major issue. The room was extremely dusty, and the person I was traveling with, who has a dust allergy, spent almost the entire stay sneezing. The walls were covered in dust, and it was clear that the room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. The worst part happened on our first day. The toilet was clogged when we arrived. I contacted the front desk expecting someone from maintenance to come fix it, but instead I was handed a plunger and asked to unclog the toilet myself. I’m sorry, but that’s simply not acceptable in a hotel, especially considering the price we paid. As they say in the U.S., there’s someone whose job is to handle these things—I shouldn’t be expected to do it myself as a guest. On our last day, the pool water had turned green. Très proche de toutes mais aussi bien placé dans une quartier calme. Le parking privé est payant mais mieux sécurisé. La piscine est petite mais bien suffisante pour se rafraîchir. Les personnelles sont très sympa et le barman est top!!
