Welcome to Uptah, a cozy studio cabin in Bethel designed for couples and outdoor lovers who explore by day and relax and recharge at night.



Wake up with coffee, grab your hiking boots or bikes, and head out for the day. Hike through Grafton Notch, mountain bike at Mt. Abram, explore the trails around Bethel, take a foliage drive through the mountains, or spend the afternoon discovering western Maine.



Then come back to your own peaceful, private basecamp. Soak tired muscles in the private hot tub, light the fire pit, turn on the fireplace, and recharge for tomorrow's adventure.

The Space



Uptah is a cozy, thoughtfully designed ~400-square-foot studio cabin with a warm, woodsy Maine feel. The compact, open layout makes a comfortable home base between adventures, with everything you need to settle in, relax and recharge.



Designed with couples in mind, Uptah makes the most of its space while giving you plenty of room outdoors to enjoy your private hot tub, fire pit, deck and wooded surroundings.

The kitchenette makes it easy to start the morning with coffee and breakfast before hitting the trails—or put together a simple dinner when you'd rather stay in after a long day outside.

Traveling With Friends?



Coming to Maine with another couple or family? Our sister cabin, Rivah, is just steps away.



Uptah and Rivah are identical in size, layout, amenities, and comfort, but each has its own personality and décor. Uptah has a warm, adventure-inspired Maine cabin feel, while Rivah features a calming lake-inspired design.



Each cabin has its own private hot tub, fire pit, bathroom, deck, and outdoor space.



Book both cabins together for up to six guests and spend your days adventuring together—while still having your own space to relax and recharge at night.



Guest Access



You'll have private access to the entire cabin, deck, hot tub, and outdoor living area. The bathroom utility closet remains locked.



Good to Know Before You Book



• Primary guest must be 25 years or older and staying onsite for the duration of the reservation.



• A rental agreement, photo ID, and a $200 security hold are required after booking. The security hold is authorized two days before arrival and automatically released seven days after departure if no damage is reported. Please note we are on the exception list as we are API Connected to a hotel-style software called OwnerRez to safely and securely take off-platform security deposits.



•Our sister cabin, Rivah, is just steps away on the same wooded property. Trees and a privacy divider help define each cabin’s private outdoor space, but this is not an isolated cabin with no neighbors in sight. We like to be transparent so you know exactly what to expect when you arrive—and can settle in, relax, and enjoy your stay.



• Our cabin is on a private well, and water is a precious resource in the mountains. We kindly ask guests to help conserve water by turning off taps when not in use and keeping showers to a reasonable length. While the water is safe to drink, some guests prefer to bring bottled water or fill reusable bottles at a local natural spring just 5 minutes away.



• The kitchenette includes a compact mini-fridge (no freezer). If you're bringing extra groceries or frozen items, we recommend packing a cooler with ice for additional storage.



• A starter coffee and tea station is provided to help you ease into your Maine mornings.



• Outdoor amenities are available seasonally (May–October), including the picnic table, bistro table, gas grill, and yard games.



• Cell service is generally strong. Wi-Fi is the best available for our rural location and works well for streaming and browsing, though it may not be ideal for frequent video calls.



• The driveway is steep and gravel. All-wheel drive or four-wheel drive is recommended year-round, especially during winter weather. The driveway is professionally plowed and sanded after each snowfall.



• To help everyone enjoy a peaceful stay, we do not allow parties, smoking or vaping inside the cabin, or unregistered guests.



• Dogs are welcome! We allow up to 2 dogs (2 years or older is preferred). A $50 pet fee per dog applies. We simply ask that dogs are house-trained, supervised, and respectful of the property so future guests—and their pups—can enjoy it too.
