« We had a very peaceful & enjoyable weekend. You can walk down to town to get a GREAT lower body workout as downhill there & uphill back!! Back yard is nice to sit, relax, have a drink and talk!! »

There’s plenty of space to do your own thing or enjoy the company. House is clean and well stocked. It is also short drive from most Galena attractions. We will definitely go back. »

Only drawback was we had a issue with a toilet and notified the owner who responded promptly, yet the maintenance was not able to enter the property because we were out enjoying ourselves, not leaving our key in the lockbox. A suggestion would be that the maintenance/owner have access to another key besides what is given to their guests…..and if so would have rated all 5 stars. »

« This home was so well maintained. I love the little things like having everything labeled and instructions for the heating and cooling system. We also appreciated the quality of the kitchen/cooking tools (pots/pans etc.) and the mattress. This house lacked absolutely nothing! The owner kept great contact with us. We really enjoyed this home. »

« We had a perfect weekend for three friends from grade school to reconnect. The weather was perfect and the house was perfect. There were three bedrooms on three different floors, a deck to view nature, and a large kitchen table to eat, play games and laugh. The host was wonderful and sent suggestions ahead of time. Their home was well stocked and very comfortable. We had a picnic at Galena vineyards, shopped main street, ate at Galena brewery and did the Goat trek! We would love to come back...

« This place was very nice and cozy. We had a little mix up when we first arrived but the owner and cleaning lady were really nice and great and got things taken care of right away which we appreciated. The trails are super close and we took our dogs on lots of walks. The location was very close to the golf resort if you’re a golfer and just to drive around the scenery was amazing. I would definitely stay here again. »

« Historic property next to another historic property in an historic town. So much easily accessible by walking or by car. Practically on the Galena River Trail. »

« Stayed here for a long weekend in beautiful Galena! Fur baby was welcomed & the townhouse had everything from a kennel, leash, bowls etc! We loved the golf course and the clubhouse! Will was so receptive for any questions! We plan to come back in a few months! We literally felt at home. Thank you Will for sharing your beautiful home & allowing our dog to be with us. »

« My brother who is about 160 pounds sat on a kitchen table chair and it collapsed under him. One leg was broken on the chair. Thank goodness my brother caught himself on the way down. Also the left handle on the porch door is broken and kept falling to the floor. We fixed it best we could but the screw is stripped. The ants are so bad they carried the food away I know this is in the woods but so is our home and we do not have ants »

« Quick response to our question when we got there. Quiet and peaceful, I never heard the barges go by. Easy to find. Short drive to town for groceries and to Maquoketa Cave State Park. Daughters thought their beds upstairs were a little hard (personal preference), but the one downstairs was very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Best set of skillets I have seen in a rental. »

« Saw this place on hotel.com and thought I’d give it a whirl. It sits in a beautiful small town called Belleview.IA with lots of parks and access to the river and tons of shops and diners just a short walk away. Although the staff is off site they are super friendly, honest and pretty knowledgeable about the area which is great for first time visitors. The property was super clean and offers an amazing view of the Mississippi River and the lock and damn. My only bummer was the property is not in...
