Lovely home! Very private, quiet, clean & comfortable! We got in late & only stayed one nights, the kids were disappointed we couldn't stay longer. We'll definitely keep this one on the list for future stays in the area!

This place is beautiful & above expectations! The garage stall was even large enough to get our pickup out of the storm the night of our stay. We highly recommend Hermitage Guest House.

The views from the porches are stunning—the pictures do not do it justice. The interior was impeccable, from space to cleanliness to having every amenity I could wish for right at my fingertips. The personal touches are everywhere, including cookies and a bottle of wine. The host was always available and responsive. We would strongly consider returning to Belle Fourche simply to stay at this guesthouse!!!

First and foremost Melissa is a wonderful host. I would rent any property she owned. This property is by far the best I have ever rented and I have rented a lot. It was a spectacular home; beautiful inside and outside. The decor was amazing. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. The primary bedroom was so restful and the mattress amazing. The primary bath is beautiful. Everything about Hermitage House is amazing! Thank you Melissa for a wonderful stay!

This property was very clean and well maintained. It was so easy for us to utilize and feel comfortable in a place we do not visit often. It allowed us space to enjoy as a family and was one of the cleanest properties we have every stayed at. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, welcoming home away from home

We loved our stay at this one-of-a-kind home in gorgeous Belle Fourche South Dakota. The house was spotless and had all the right charm and amenities, including clean pots and pans, comfortable sheets, and amazing views. I highly recommend staying in this wonderful property!

Our stay at the Hermitage Guest House was absolutely amazing! You know how pictures usually make a place look better than it really is? Well, this place exceeded our expectations when the reality met the listing. The host was very quick to communicate, the house was immaculately clean and very spacious. The property is secluded and beautiful, but not far from town. The covered front porch offers beautiful views of the Black Hills and a back deck is adjacent to a wooded area with lovely pines and wild turkeys. The only problem was we didn't have more time there. We hope to be back and have it be a destination rather than a stop over.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Hermitage Guesthouse! The house is absolutely impeccable - the cleanest rental property I’ve ever stayed at. The interior is spotless and beautifully decorated. It was comfortable, relaxing, and just the right size for our party of five. The property is so quiet and peaceful, yet just a short drive to Belle Fourche or Spearfish. I highly recommend this property and hope to come back soon!

Excellent choice for Spearfish/Belle Fourche Stay

This was a very nice property to stay at. Very clean, inviting and well cared for. We enjoyed the quiet setting, views of the the Black Hills to the south and the pines to the north. Close to town but just off the main roads to give you the "out in the country" feel. We would highly recommend the property and will stay here again when back in the area. Owner was very easy to communicate with and we needed nothing during our stay.

Hermitage House was the base for exploring Spearfish and Deadwood. If you get in this area please check out this home. It exceeded our expectations. The home is spotless and shows as brand new. Beds are comfortable. View is incredible. Can't say enough good things. Turkeys greated us on arrival and the deer gathered to say goodby.
