A shallow stream running through a swamp (background) is what's left of a paleo river at the Sungai Batu excavation site. Carbon dating on iron ingots and other findings at the site indicate a port civilisation, with a thriving iron smelting industry that predates Angkor Wat, Cambodia and Borobudur, Java. Two comments : Air conditioning at room 3405, was bit too cold. Despite changing many times (incl hotel technicians) it keeps at below 23. Normally, 23 is fine but it felt much lower than 23.
