« We stayed here for a wedding nearby so honestly did not have a ton of time at the property. House has plenty of room for a larger group. Kitchen was well stocked for basic cooking. Directions for check in/check out were clear and owner was extremely communicative. Basement was kind of musty so we kept the sliding doors open when home. Hustisford is a smaller town than I anticipated so I’m happy we stocked up some groceries before arrival. »

« There are some rentals where they give you barely enough (i.e. 3 towels, 12 knives, 4 spoons, and 1 fork) but that is NOT this rental. This rental seriously has MORE than ANYTHING you could need. We appreciated the abundance of towels/washcloths, eating utensils, outdoor seating, etc. The owner shares the duplex and should anything go wrong, I am confident she would make it right. She is a delightful person and wants to make sure your visit is more than you expect. She is very accommodating...

« Overall this property was ok. Our biggest complaints are that after multiple messages, texts & phone calls, we never were able to get a hold of the property manager. We had questions throughout our stay, and a jacket was accidentally left by one of our kids & we cannot get a hold of anyone to try & recover it. This is disappointing! We even called VRBO customer service w to attempt to reach them & they were no help at all either. Second, there are ZERO window coverings, even in the bedrooms....

« The house had everything we needed for a week stay. Lots of games in the basement for kids to play. Kayaks and paddle boat were great for the kids when the weather was nice. We caught lots of fish both off the dock and out on the lake. I will say the lake is over run with catfish, but we caught lots of crappie too. Will definitely consider coming back in a few years when my niece graduates. Thanks for letting us stay! »

« Our West World vacation stay is characterized as truly wonderful. The hosts are friendly and highly responsive. Check in was super easy. A wonderful welcome gift from them was waiting for us after check in. The home is nicely appointed with comfortable furniture and beds. Bathrooms are large and clean, and the bathroom linens are quite nice. « It was perfect accomodations for our group. Very well equipped kitchen, not many steps and comfortable beds. Weather was wonderful! We were allowed an early check in AND a late check out...awesome!! »

« It was a great stay. Loved sitting on the back deck watching the fish jump around. Note: the full bed in the bedroom across from the bathroom. Might need a new mattress. The friend that stayed in there.. said it sinks in the middle. Just an FYI. THANKS! For letting us stay! »

« The house was great for our family of five. We enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock. We enjoyed playing cards on the porch. Having air conditioning was nice for sleeping. »

« My husband and I loved our stay at this small cabin. Quaint and updated it was the perfect size for a weekend getaway. We loved that we could bring our dog, and hosts were so welcoming by having things in the home like dog bed, toys, food bowls. We would definitely stay again. »

« The accommodations were nice and clean. The host was great and helpful, she even helped me get a replacement tire for my fishing boat trailer. We were able to catch bullheads of the dock in the evening and caught quite a few catfish off a rocky point they told us about. The kids had fun catching there first fish. The fire table worked well in the evening to gather around and have s’mores. They had kayaks and a canoe available and several games in the garage. We did use one of the small kayaks...

« The house definitely needs some updating such as a new kitchen sink. If you’re paying a cleaning service tell them to clean out the entire fridge, drawers included. Loved that it was pet friendly but remind customers to clean up after their dogs outside! Also better more environmentally friendly cleaning products in the kitchen. »

« My friends and I loved the Bluegill! The view of the water is beautiful and the cabin was very comfortable. »

« House is in extreme need of updating and maintenance. Furniture is as little as possible, need mirrors and tables. Paint color and lighting are dark and gloomy. Every drain in the home does not drain properly. The tub/shower has vintage stains in the bottom. The kitchen is outfitted for minimal use with vintage utensils and dishware. Major updating of home and furnishings is needed. »

« Cousins lake house was perfect for our family's potluck meal on Saturday. It was open and airy on main floor which was great for visiting with each other. The kids enjoyed playing in the lower level. Plenty of room for sharing our meal. Everything was as stated in description. Very enjoyable! »
