The Green House offers a rare chance to experience the true peace of the Gorge. Surrounded by forest and wildlife, this spacious, extremely dog-friendly retreat has nearly 2,000 sq ft, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a large fire pit. Just 18 miles from Natural Bridge State Resort Park and steps from private land to explore, it is a peaceful sanctuary for climbers, hikers, families, and their pups.

The Green House sits on acres and acres of untouched land in a place called "Riley Holler'. This space is special for its peace, quiet and privacy. There are NO neighbors in eye sight, you get the entire cliff bowl to yourselves; a rare find for the area, as it becomes more popular.



Here, you can enjoy the hand built fire pit, crafted by the river rocks on the property, use the large dining table for games or puzzles with loved ones, or simply explore the entire property, just steps away from the door. The trail is not very established but it is a lot of fun to walk around. (Currently a bit overgrown, as it needs more foot traffic!) Explore the cliff line or search for mini waterfalls by the creek, you wont run into another person out here! The clear night skies are something to behold here, as the light pollution is low and you can stargaze on those warm summer nights.



We are very dog friendly. We provide a towel for those fun muddy days outside, the yard is huge and dogs will love the space to roam! We have a dog bed for those of you flying with your small ones. Generally we ask for no more than two dogs per booking, but you are always welcome to ask as we can definitely work with you.

•15 miles from the Red River Rock House, 13 miles from the Zip Line

•16 miles from the Gorge Underground

•23 miles from hikes such as Grays Arch

••VERY close to many rock climbing areas in the South Gorge such as PMRP, which is only ten minutes from driveway to the parking lot.



The location is perfect, close enough to many fun activities but far enough away from the noise. Not far off from Stanton, Slade, The wedding barn at Appalachian rose farm, or Hemlock Springs!



There is also super fast and reliable fiber WiFi for streaming movies or work meetings.



There are four private bed rooms, each with its own name-

•The Ecosystem (Master bedroom) with en suite bathroom with huge relaxing tub as well as shower.

•The Space- Double bed, work desk and closet with clothing storage.

•The Meadow- Double bed, work desk and huge closet with clothing storage

•The Mushroom- queen bed, work desk, dresser, and large closet with more storage.



The living room has mood lighting with LED lights two large couches, a futon, surround sound for movie night, and a decently large smart TV!



The dining area features a large table with eight chairs, buffet table and a hutch.



The kitchen has a coffee station with hot water kettle, sugar, a toaster oven, microwave, a french press or drip maker.

If you're coming for some fun Holler Wood off roading, you can park your ATV trailer by the mailbox and ride the ATV to the property, as there is plenty of room there.



Enjoy some Edison bulb lights outside for those summer nights you want to spend outside with Outdoor seating or turn them off to stargaze on clear sky nights. The yard is teaming with fireflies at night, its beautiful!



This place is sacred to me and my loved ones, this is my home I have poured many hours fixing and updating, and I wont be able to be here during summer months, so I wanted others to experience this beautiful space I get to call home! We absolutely love it here and I truly hope you do, too.



Guest Access:

-Access to the front door is via keypad. There is no backdoor access. We recommend not parking directly in front of the shed as it is helpful to use this spot to turn around and it will help you navigate the parking.



The Neighborhood:

Nearby Lago Lindas Hideaway, the Green House is tucked away in its own holler. You will not see a single house or person back here, and have it all to yourself. Its extremely peaceful and quiet, while still being within 10-20 minutes of all the gorge has to offer!



Getting Around:

You'll need a car to get around. You can explore the holler on foot, but always check for ticks!



Other Things to Note:

-Laundry may be accessed at a small fee. Please ask for assistance and door code!

-Dogs are welcome but I respectfully ask you to bring a dog bed and not let them sleep in the sheets with you. There are dog toys in the ottoman!

-Please only park in designated areas! Do not park in the grass.

-4WD is recommended but NOT REQUIRED. VERY low clearance vehicles will not make it. (ie sports cars). Regular sedans are fine.

-The shed is not accessible for guests.

-Please clean up after your pets in the yard.

-Please take out the trash when you leave. Garbage is located by the mailbox where you entered. NEVER LEAVE TRASH OUTSIDE!

-I am the owner of this house and I live here most of the year, please report issues to me ASAP! This is my home and I want it taken care of. Thank you so much!

-We have installed a water pump under the house due to the water pressure in the area typically being lower than desired. If you are using many applications (showering, dishes, flushing etc) you will notice a drop in water pressure. There is nothing we can do about this and recommend limiting water use to one or two uses at a time! The pump is fairly silent, we rarely, if ever, notice it.

-This area is not highly developed and the Red River Gorge is considered a temperate rain forest. This being said, bugs are a normal part of the ecosystem here. You might find a stray lady beetle or stink bug here and there but we do preventatively spray and hope to keep bugs away from the house and getting inside! You will likely see paper wasps outside. They're not aggressive and there is nothing we can do in terms of prevention. I will leave special spray for you under the sink.

-I care for my guests but please know before you stay that I provide the following regardless of length of stay:









-1 coffee pot worth of coffee grounds (this is for 12 cups of coffee)

-one large roll of paper towels

-one towel per guest

-Dish soap

-One dish washer pod per two days

-sponge

- a couple wash cloths

- 2 rolls toilet paper per bathroom

- 2 kitchen towels

-A starter amount of salt, pepper and oil.



All extra items such as, paper towels, coffee, toilet paper, etc is the responsibility of the guest to provide for their stay.



You will need charcoal for the grill and wood for the fire pit if you plan to use these.
