This is a beautiful home in a great location. The main level was clean and nicely decorated, and we especially enjoyed the backyard and game room. It was a short walk to the bay for sunsets, which was a highlight. Our group included four adults, a toddler, and a baby, and the space worked well overall. The host was responsive and even offered early check-in.That said, a few things that impacted our stay would have been helpful to know in advance. We knew there was an outdoor entrance to the basement, but not that it was the only option, and the bedrooms there have curtains instead of doors—so the space wasn’t usable for kids as we had planned. Linens (sheets, pillowcases, towels, etc.) and toilet paper are not provided. We only found out about the latter the day before arrival via text, and this was not clearly stated in the listing or emails. The house also has no bath (only showers); we knew this from the listing, but it’s worth flagging for families with babies. Finally, checkout required much more than typical in our many other rental experiences: vacuuming all floors, remaking beds after removing linens, replacing garbage bags in every room, and fully staging the house for the next guest. These chores took significant time away from our last night and rushed our morning of departure.Overall, we enjoyed the home, location, and host responsiveness, but clearer communication on the basement, linens, and checkout expectations would have made this a five-star stay.
