Instow beach lies just 1 mile away, offering sandy shores, waterside walks, and beautiful estuary views. Instow also has a range of pubs and restaurants, and a popular deli, to explore. The Tarka Trail can be accessed just half a mile away, with bike hire available en route. Guests can also take the seasonal ferry over to Appledore, a charming fishing village, or visit the golden sands of Westward Ho! roughly 4 miles away. The South West Coast Path is also within easy reach, offering endless opportunities for scenic coastal walks and memorable outdoor adventures year-round.


Beautifully crafted and thoughtfully designed throughout, the shepherd’s hut seamlessly combines rustic charm with contemporary comfort. Inside, you will find a welcoming, open-plan living space featuring a comfortable double bed and a characterful breakfast bar – ideal for leisurely morning coffees. The well-equipped kitchenette includes an Everhot cooker, which provides both cooking and heating, alongside an electric hob and fridge to ensure you have everything needed for a comfortable stay. Finished to an exceptional standard, the hut makes clever use of its space while maintaining a distinct feeling of luxury and relaxation. The internal shower room features a shower, WC, and heated towel rail, providing a stylish and practical space to refresh after a day spent exploring the coast and countryside.


Outside, this retreat truly comes into its own. Directly outside the shepherd’s hut, a patio dining area provides the perfect spot for peaceful breakfasts amongst the orchard trees. A pathway leads across the grounds, first passing the impressive glass-fronted, bespoke sauna, where views out across the apple orchard create an exceptional wellness experience. Connected beneath the same elegant timber cladding, a stunning roll-top copper bath and outdoor rainfall shower allow guests to embrace a rejuvenating sauna and cold-water contrast therapy experience, designed to leave you feeling completely revitalised. A second seating area features a twin bench positioned around a warming firepit, creating an enchanting setting for evening drinks beneath the stars. Private parking is also provided on site.
