The Collection Barcelona welcomes you to our apartment located in Paseo de Gracia, in front of Gaudi´s famous Casa Batlló and right by the city centre. I am sure my 4 bedroom / 4 bathroom wonderful unit will amaze you!



The Space:

Welcome to this wonderful and spacious 208m2 apartment located right in Passeig de Gracia in front of Gaudi´s Casa Battló. My spacious and bright flat in a historical building is the ideal place to stay for and unforgettable and true local experience.



The unit is distributed on two separate areas; those are connected by a middle hall and are completely private for your stay! This distribution is ideal for groups and families that want to enjoy some privacy.

The apartment has been completely renovated but has kept its elegant and majestic presence with some of the old and original furniture.



⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.

The Neighborhood:

The apartment is conveniently located right by Paseo de Gracia avenue and in the very middle of Eixample district. This elegant, majestic boulevard was a showcase for Barcelona's bourgeoisie at the turn of the 19th century, and links the Plaça Catalunya with the district of Gràcia, hence its name. The presence of Barcelona's finest modernista buildings makes this avenue a veritable open-air museum.



Barcelona's new artery, in the centre of the newly built Eixample district, was the place moneyed bourgeois families chose to live. On either side of the street, they constructed imposing buildings that continue to delight everyone who passes by. These jewels of Catalonia's home-grown art nouveau, modernisme, and the later movement, noucentisme, were created by architects of the calibre of Gaudí (La Pedrera and the Casa Batlló), Puig i Cadafalch (casa Amatller), and Domènech i Muntaner (Casa Lleó Morera), to name just three. On the pavement we can see the organic paving stones designed by Gaudí, and along the boulevard are the streetlamps by Pere Falqués, with their white-mosaic benches.



The architectural jewels stand side by side with some of Barcelona's most prestigious shops. Shopping enthusiasts will find their true happiness on the on this street, a true temple of fashion. In the ground floors of those amazing buildings you will find many luxury shops and leading fashion houses including Louis Vuitton, Loewe, Armani, Cartier, Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent and many others.



Plenty of café, tapas bars, rooftop bars and restaurants are within walking distance. Many restaurants will serve traditional Spanish specialties and International dishes for lunch and dinner. Staying in this neighborhood is the best decision you can make. A gem in the city center of Barcelona!

*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***



- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small fee of 6.25€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.

- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.

- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation

and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)



*** HOUSE RULES ***

1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction

2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.

3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).

4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.

5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.

6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.

7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.

Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

The location is great, the rooms were spacious and the decor is nice. Unfortunately there are two major issues with the apartment. The shower handles were very corroded for multiple showers that we had to use towels to grip the handles to turn the shower on/off. Also, one of the showers with the easier to turn handle only allowed you to use the rainfall showerhead because the hand held showerhead did not have a holder for it, so we had to stand awkwardly to not get our hair wet.The Wi-Fi did not work for all four days we were there. We were given a network name that never appeared on any of our 10 devices. When given a repeater's network name to connect to instead, it only worked on one side of the apartment for about 10 minutes. When we contacted the host about this, they said it's because we have too many devices connected to it and they'll increase the number of devices that can connect to it, but I don't think that ever happened. All devices were not able to get any internet since then. We rely on Wi-Fi for multiple things, such as checking into flights, facetiming with family, researching what to do next, so it was frustrating to be on vacation and have to constantly connect with the host for multiple days to get something resolved that never was fixed. We even had issues trying to watch Netflix. Not sure if that was a internet issue or the smart tv system is too old.If you decide on staying here, you may want to check in with the host if these items are remedied.

The entire family loved our stay at this apartment. The host was incredibly helpful and timely with communication. The location was in a great area and the apartment was huge. Would absolutely rent again!

What you see is not what you get....

First of all. The pictures are not accurate of apartment. A few of the curtains are ripped and have holes. There is also a broken chair. The bedrooms do not have the bed configuration that it says. It could be gorgeous. But they have just the bare minimum. One towel one pillow and sheet per bed. The comforters are in closet and used over and over again without washing. Ewwww. I know this because the cleaning lady was there as we left and she just folded the comfort up and put in dresser. Bring your own!!!!! We paid 150 euros to get in by 10am and it was a real hassle. Took about 45 minutes to get all squared away and it sometimes didn't work at all and we had call emergency number that lead to voice mail. We did find another number that worked. They need to be more accessible. The older people who stayed with us couldn't use entrance system. It was spotty and worked on and off. Also the A/C is great!!!!!! The furniture seems musty. It really just needs an overhaul. The bed are comfy. However, the idea was amazing and the location was amazing. Close to everything and safe. They really need to work on decor and broken furniture also only one refridge worked. This place could be amazing if updated furniture Overall. I would not stay here again for sure !!!

Overpriced

The apartment was way overpriced. It is a nice apartment that could be so much better if a little care was given to the furnishings. It has a lot of space, but the furniture is pitiful. The kitchens are not well equipped at all. If you want to spend most of your time in the Gothic Quarter and El Born, they are about a 30 minute walk away.
