This home is in a great location, walkable to many restaurants, bars, shops, parks, etc. (And I suggest walking as much as possible, as street parking can be hard to come by in this bustling area!) Communication with the host was excellent - very helpful and accommodating from check-in to check-out. As for the property itself, heed the warning in the listing that it does have a lot of windy staircases throughout - especially down to the basement! Carrying luggage up & down could be a challenge depending on your strength, agility, etc. Also note that the second floor bathroom is attached to to the twin "bedroom," which actually doesn't have a door so it is more of a passthrough. Would be good for kids, but maybe not for an adult wanting a private space! Overall, the property was clean and mostly well-appointed, but in order to give it a five-star review I would love to see some minor repairs throughout, perhaps some furnishings updated or replaced for better comfort (mainly in the living room - another comfy chair would be great for additional seating!), the windows washed for clear views of the city, and general decluttering for more space. (If you're a type-A like me, opening a cabinet/closet full of stuff makes me want to start cleaning instead of relaxing!) This place has the potential to be a truly 5-star stay if a few small things were addressed so guests feel confident that it is a well-maintained property.
