Castaway Avon is a very prominent semi-oceanfront home with 2nd tier oceanfront attributes including stunning ocean views and south views offering a good value at an excellent price. Save a little money by not renting Oceanfront and instead consider this property just a bit further. Located in the desirable Ocean Isle Estates subdivision, this house is designed and situated to provide open space and privacy. The lot runs directly parallel to the Oceanfront homes with no road in between, the closest beach access is directly out the rear pool gate past 2 houses. Castaway Avon is a pet-friendly home with new laminate flooring throughout, updated living room furnishings, updated king mattresses, updated air conditioning, and updated appliances. Located close enough to Avon shops to easily walk to the nearby coffee shop or local restaurants. Avon offers less crowded beaches and the sound is a mile drive west for incredible sunset views. This home sits on a higher lot, elevated from heavy rains and storms, with a vertical 4-level design, open floor plan, and elevator to all levels.

Ground Level: Exterior amenities include a large driveway with easy access to the nearby indoor elevator. Carport, gas grill, and the fully gated south-facing private pool area with hot tub, picnic table, park-style charcoal grill, Built-to-Last furniture, outside shower, and fish cleaning bench. Around the corner is the rear pool gate that offers quicker access to the beach with no paved streets to cross, just a few unpaved driveways. Inside you'll find elevator access to all levels, a recreation room with a pool table, foosball table, patio access gated from the pool area, a half bath, and a kitchenette with cabinets, sink, microwave, and a full-size refrigerator. Open den with large flat-screen TV (with telescoping mount), 2 Day Beds, and 2 Trundles. Laundry with washer and dryer.

Top Level: This level provides elevated Ocean views like the lighthouses long ago. This level combines the great room, kitchen, dining area, and half bath together. Open great room offers recently upgraded leather sofas, large flat-screen Roku TV/Blu-Ray DVD, soundbar, and gas fireplace. The house offers basic cable channels, Roku, and 400MB internet services in case you need to conduct business while on vacation. The dining room features a larger dining table seating 14, and a separate kids table seating 4 that can double as a card table, with deck access. Kitchen with U-shaped design and stone countertops that offers 2 dishwashers, large capacity refrigerator with filtered water dispenser, free-standing ice maker, 2 mini-refrigerators for extra beverages, stove top, double oven with steam clean, deck access and stone bar top serving area/counter seating for 3. The deck offers Built-to-Last furniture for your enjoyment. At night gaze south to catch the top of the Hatteras Lighthouse beacon.

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Wonderful stay in Avon NC

Great location in OBX! The house was wonderful and well suited for our needs. Pool and hot tub were very clean and we enjoyed them a lot. There are five stray cats that live in the shrubbery around the home. The yard and immediate property around the home is overgrown and really needs maintenance. We could not even find the outside grill. Other than those three issues it was a perfect week.

Great Family vacation

We had a great time. The house was perfect, except for the fact the elevator did not work and all groceries had to be carried up to the fourth level. Also had a few people who had difficulty with the steps. But on the bright side, we got so much exercise from the steps, that we didn’t gain weight. Overall a great house at a good location.

Family Reunion

Great house!

We loved the house, the proximity to the beach, the pool and the hot tub we’re also great. The house fit our large family nicely, the rooms were good sizes and most had attached bathrooms. The management company was super efficient in answering my questions. Highly recommend this property.
