Kākā Ridge Retreat Bush Hideaway

Cute studio guesthouse with a generous deck surrounded by bush. Relax at this unique and tranquil rustic getaway. Main house is 10 metres away but studio has privacy and lovely bush views. The Bush Hideaway is small with Queen bed but has everything you need for a quiet few days of 'glamping'. Access to the brand new bathroom is via the deck not from inside the studio.

The studio has been built at the back of our garage which is completely separate from the house, about ten metres away. The studio is about 21 sq metres and the deck is of a similar size. A large gate at the end of the deck provides visual privacy from the house. The outlook is lovely. We provide linen, towels, tea towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dishwashing liquid, tea, coffee, milk, oil, salt & pepper. The kitchenette includes a microwave / convection oven, toaster, kettle, plunger coffee pots. A BBQ on the deck provides the means to cook a simple meal.

The windows and doors have insect screens and we put up a mosquito net over the bed during the summer months. The heat pump will keep you cosy in winter and cool in summer as needed.

We’re an hour from Auckland, five minutes from the Tāwharanui Regional Park and 15 minutes from the Matakana Village - easy access to the weekend markets, restaurants, cafes, boutique shops and a cinema complex.
