Disrespectful Experience, Unwelcoming Environment – Would Not Recommend

I cannot recommend this property due to a deeply unsettling experience that left me and my guests feeling disrespected, surveilled, and ultimately, unwelcome.Shortly after our arrival, I received a message from the property manager reiterating a no-party policy and warning that security could be involved due to “extra guests.” To be clear: our group consisted of a handful of Black professional men—judges, lawyers, retired Marines, pharmaceutical executives, and banking professionals. The youngest person in our group was 45, the oldest was 65. This was not a group of 20-year-olds throwing a wild frat party. We had gathered briefly for a quiet meeting before heading to a scheduled event. There was no loud music, no disruptive behavior, and no one was staying overnight.Despite that, we were immediately flagged and warned in a manner that felt premature, condescending, and frankly, racially motivated. I was told that both the neighbors and the homeowner had “reported a problem”—even though nothing had happened. The message was clear and deeply offensive: our mere presence was deemed a threat.The property itself raises other concerns. There are no blinds or coverings on any of the first-floor windows—a design choice that extends to bathrooms and bedrooms. It’s strange, unsettling, and frankly creepy.
