Spacious 5-bedroom Lakefront house with AC and WiFi in wonderful Ashville

  • Beautiful and peaceful lakefront cottage that has been updated and enlarged for relaxing and entertaining. Central Air Conditioning. Secluded neighborhood is away from busy roads and is great for morning/evening walks. Great dock, fire pit on patio and fireplace inside!

    The space
    This is not a cramped sleep 8 - this is a 5 bedroom house - 3 on the second floor and 2 on the first, with plenty of room to relax. We limit to 8 to keep the neighborhood feel. Our location is rare - our streets do not have traffic because there are not cut thrus to bigger roads. Great for walks. Giant stamped concrete patio with fire pit overlooks our 50 foot of lakefront. Dock for morning coffee or evening wine and room to dock a boat (must use public access for boats.) New second floor bath with jacuzzi tub and separate vanity area and heated floors. New custom built in breakfast nook/wine night looks out over the lake. 50 inch plasma with cable, netflix and hbo to go. Gas fireplace. Wifi. We have put much love and investment in to create a stylish and comfortable lake get away!

    Full access to the house - it will be granted via pass code for the door.

    Other things to note
    Southern Tier 7 minutes away with great bar/restaurant. Many great wineries, restaurants and pubs in driving distance. Just go out a little earlier than usual most stuff closes up around 10. Wegmans grocery store 10 minutes away in lakewood. Our favorites are: Souther Tier empty pint, Guppys, Brazil's, Landmark (upper scale), Scallions, Asheville General Store.

Lovely home and view of the lake... Top notch decorating, beds and linens very nice and the kitchen is fully equipped. Highly recommend this home for rental!

Great house for lake vacation!

Just stayed in the house recently with some friends for a golf trip and had a great time. Loved the patio outside with built in fire pit! Was plenty of room for 8 of us.

Wonderful stay at Lake Chautauqua

Enjoyed a wonderful weekend at your lake house. Enjoyed fishing, swimming and evening fires. We also visited the Chautauqua Institution and enjoyed one of there many summer concerts. Excellent weekend overall.

Great rental

This house was a great rental house. The location on the lake was nice. We had paddle boards and were able to use them from the dock. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The air conditioning was a welcome when it was humid and hot outside. There is plenty of lawn furniture to be able to sit comfortably outside. Great property and would love to visit here again.

A Cozy Autumn Weekend!

My family stayed at this lake house for our autumn wedding weekend. The house & property were the perfect, cozy & inviting spaces to celebrate and to spend time with our family! The fun lakeside decor & comfy furnishings made our stay delightful & all the home amenities were generous! The cottage owners were excellent in responding to any questions & were so welcoming - thank you for your warm hospitality, Linda :) We highly recommend this cozy lakeside home to all!

Awesome Cottage on Lake Chautauqua!

Wonderful 5 bedroom house, filled with charm. Our family enjoyed the outdoor fire pit daily as the weather was cold and rainy. We will be back again. Linda was so helpful with every detail. Lake was beautiful.

Beautiful lakeside home

We had an amazing weekend while staying at this beautiful home. It was very clean, fully stocked with plenty of towels and appliances and the beds were extremely comfy! 7 women for a girls weekend and not a single negative comment!! We all loved it! ❤️❤️

Wonderful, relaxing, accommodating!

Linda was very accommodating and easy to work with. The house was beautiful and cozy. Linda thought of every detail. We fished or boated the entire time. Found some awesome restraunts for several meals. Wonderful time! Would definitely return!

Great Week-end Getaway!

We had a ladies book club fall weekend getaway at Linda's house on the shores of beautiful Lake Chautauqua, and absolutely loved it. The house is cozy and quaint and the beds and linens were top notch! Location was also great for making visits to a winery and brewery. Out host, Linda was great and we communicated through text very smoothly. I would (and already have) highly recommended her home to others. We had a GREAT time! Thank you!

Family Holiday Get-Away!

We just returned from our little getaway at the Spencer lakehouse and it couldn't have been better! What a lovely home that accommodated us perfectly. We loved the breakfast nook and the kids loved the jacuzzi tub! I agree with the other review about the beds and linens being excellent quality. We were all very comfortable and would have no hesitation returning and recommending this rental to others. It is easy to tell the house and property are very well loved!!

Wonderful location, very peaceful and relaxing!

We LOVED our stay at this house! It was very clean, cozy, and comfortable and the location was GREAT for visiting nearby attractions. The owners were very responsive to questions and had helpful notes around the house to answer questions we hadn't thought to ask in advance. We appreciated having so much seating in the living area inside and enjoyed sitting outside on dock and on the beautiful patio. We made use of the gas grill almost every day. We found so many things to do in the area, no matter what the weather was like. One of our favorite memories will be of the rainy day that ended with a gorgeous double rainbow extending across both sides of the lake! It was unanimous that this was one of our best vacations ever and as we were leaving we were already talking about staying here again next year. For our family, this trip was all sunshine and rainbows ... literally!

Wonderful home steps from the lake

Linda was so helpful with everything leading up to the reservation. I stayed at this home for a weekend trip with the guys. There was a nice fire pit and plenty of firewood that we utilized both night! We played golf less than 10 minutes away at Maplehurst Country Club (not quite a country club) and then went to Southern Tier, my favorite brewery, which is about 7 minutes from this house. I am sure there is a lot of other stuff to do in Lakewood but we didn't have too much time to explore. The house is great though, we had 9 guys and there were plenty of beds/couches/spots for air matresses for us all to sleep pretty comfortably. I wish it was warmer so we could have swam in the lake or done some sort of boating/water skiing. I will definitely be staying here again for my future southern tier trips! The sunrise over the lake is enough to make anyone want to come back.

Loved the cottage charm of this beautifully decorated lake home!

Our idea of a beautiful family vacation was only made better by renting this retro-vintage lake home. Filled with charming decorating details, you immediately get a sense of how well loved this home is. The lake views are stunning! Five bedrooms worked perfectly for our clan spanning in ages from grandparents to toddlers. The patio is a wonderful area to enjoy the fantastic lake views. A dock right outside the door made it easy for us to jump on our boat anytime. And we had nightly fires in the pit built right into the patio. There is plenty of seating both indoors and out. No need to bring your own chairs. And there are plenty of fans and blankets for weather changes. The kitchen was well stocked with all kinds of pots and pans. Alas, you must hand wash the dishes, but there was usually a willing volunteer. We parked three cars in the drive, and there was room to park our boat trailer, too. The owner is very helpful and was willing to answer all our questions. We would definitely rent this cottage again!!
