We live locally so please call or text me and I will do my best to ensure you have everything you need to have a comfortable stay.

The market town of Arundel is home to some of the countries highest regarded antique shops and boasts a castle, cathedral, countless restaurants, an impressive nine pubs and a local brewery. It is also only 15 minutes from the sandy South Coast, Goodwood estate and Chichester. At 45 minutes by rail from Gatwick and just under 1.5 hours from London it is well placed for a holiday stay.

You will have all of the house and garden.

The house is situated on a quiet street near the cathedral with free on street parking.

It is a grade II listed terraced house. The front door opens into a small entranceway with coat and shoe rack and a doorway into the living area.

Downstairs has an open plan layout with a double aspect reception room, a kitchen and a dining area.

The sitting area has 2 large sofas around a wood burning stove and TV with DVD player and chrome cast device. The upper end of the living space has a rocking chair and reading nook area.
There is a 6 seater dining table by french doors leading out to the garden.
The kitchen is fully equipped for family cooking with a gas stove and oven, microwave and dishwasher.

    The house has 3 bedrooms.
The master bedroom is on the first floor with a double bed, ample wardrobe space and french doors opening on to the balcony.

The second double bedroom is on the second floor with a desk workstation with views of the river and even the sea on a clear day.

The third bedroom is on the first floor and has single small bunk beds. These are a “shorty-size” mattress (175cm x 75cm) with the lower bunk being a floor bed so more suited to children, fine also for adults but be aware of the size for taller guests.
There is also a cot which can be moved into the main bedroom if preferred.

There is one bathroom with shower and bathtub on the ground floor.

There is an outhouse utility room accessed from the garden. In here you will find a washing machine, tumble dryer and an additional fridge freezer.

Beyond the utility room the garden opens up into a courtyard space with a BBQ and seating areas. In the summer months a garden lounge can be laid out with a sofa and armchairs around a coffee table and at the far end of the garden is a dining table and chairs surrounded by climbing rose bushes.
The garden is secure and dogs are welcome.

Towels and bed linens are provided. As are hairdryers and basic toiletries.

For those traveling with little ones there is a high chair and stair gate in the cupboard under the stairs and please ask if there is anything else you need and I will do my best to accommodate you.

I live locally with my husband and two children and am on hand to help with any problems and give advice about this lovely area.

Les points forts : Arrivée, communication, emplacement et exactitude de l’annonce
This was a lovely property in an excellent location however there proved to be a few issues. In the balcony bedroom the bed was very uncomfortable as was the lower bunk bed mattress. The view was amazing, but the balcony itself appeared to be potentially very unsafe. Downstairs, the sofas were very uncomfortable particularly the one against the wall. The cooker had no control or temperature markings as they appeared to have been removed in cleaning and there were no written instructions for the oven. The first evening we tried to cook a fish pie in the oven for convenience which was a complete disaster as we were trying to guess the temperature and it failed to heat adequately. That had to be thrown away by which time it was very late to eat. We were only able to cook safely on the hob during our stay. There was a distinct lack of equipment and some cooking utensils were damaged and needed replacement. For example melted/burnt plastic tools - no colander, wooden spoons, corkscrew or bottle opener. The kitchen table covering and chairs backs/arms were filthy and I had to clean most surfaces in the kitchen. We also had to wash a number of dishes and plates before we could use them.
