The host was welcoming and communicative. Unfortunately, some of the amenities were broken or unavailable. For example, the Fuseball table had a snapped line of players which made it unusable and the beautiful fireplace that is pictured was not allowed to be used as it was clearly zip tied and off limits. The house was very nice, had a wonderful time having everyone in one house. The stove was broken but we got by it was the people before us. I do wish the fireplace could have been used the pictures of it enticed me to choose this home. But we were pleased anyway.

The Lodge is big enough to spread out and have fun. It's got lots of personality/character and is very comfortable, especially for a large group. The location is also great. The host is quick to respond and the check in/out process is a breeze. The only issue was a lack of cleaning and not enough attention to detail.

Beautiful home. Just a few issues, 1 tension rod in master bath downstairs lost the tension. The stairs to the 2nd floor are narrow. One of our 50 ladies fell coming down. But the place was cleen and quiet. Plenty of room. 13 total beds. Definitely would stay again.

Few problems, overall wasn’t bad.

We have stayed at this cabin before, but it was about 7 years ago. Check in is very easy. The cabin is very roomy for big groups. We definitely enjoy all the space, and the location to Arbuckle lake and Chickasaw National Recreation Area. The foosball table, air hockey and arcade games are definitely a big hit with the kids and adults alike. We had a few issues, when we arrived there were many empty Gatorade bottles in the kitchen and in the rooms. There were some garments left from a previous group in the closet of the cowboy room. Nothing major there, but I would definitely talk to the house keepers, especially when tenants have to pay a fee for cleaning when booking. The pillows on the beds aren’t very comfortable, and there aren’t many extra pillows or blankets around the house. Again, small, but inconvenient. The biggest issue for our group was the hot water, it’s basically non existent. The showers would get maybe luke warm, but that’s it. The water while showering would not stay Luke warm though, by the end of your shower, even if rushing, the water would be cold. Aside from these few things, we really did enjoy our stay. We would likely stay again, just needs a few things looked at.

Nice property.

Nice property. Stayed there before and generally like it. Always baffled when a lodging does not provide shower soap but expects you to provide it. Owner warned us that the range was broken but usable. Oven also did not work but a neighbor sent by the owner let us borrow hers.

Great Cabin

Had a family get toghther we all came frim diffrent states! Was very roomy, good location! Only issue with neighbors was they started shooting off night works after the 4th but was nothing against the property manager Teresa was great with communication. We definitely would stay again.

Spacious and comfortable

It's a great place for large groups. Plenty of space indoors or outdoors. Walmart is close if you need to run get something. There were plenty of things to do in the house with board games, foosball, air hockey, and even two arcade games. Loved it!

Sisters Retreat

We sincerely appreciated Tereza's generosity for granting us early check-in at Primrose Family Lodges. Upon our initial arrival, We gained prompt access.Inside, we were greeted by an unclean sink with food remnants, a haphazardly propped broom and dustpan, and a disarrayed living room filled with refuse. Sadly, we found ourselves unexpectedly cleaning for hours. Going upstairs, we found unmade beds, leading to a night of washing bed covers. We also discovered clothing left in an upstairs bedroom and mice droppings. We documented these issues with photos.On another night, a pickup truck repeatedly circled the area. Initially, we dismissed it as locals, but it stopped behind one of our vehicles. To our surprise, five teenagers attempted to access the house from the rear, causing screams from us. Their intentions were unclear, and our group of eleven women felt understandably fearful. While we considered calling the police, we refrained but informed our spouses, finding some reassurance in the security cameras.On our final morning, a mouse darted across the room, prompting panic. We decided to cut our stay short, load our vehicles, and depart hastily. In summary, while we cherished our time together, we were disheartened by the lodges' lack of cleanliness and pre-paid cleaning fees. We had anticipated a more gratifying experience. As we contemplate future stays, we'll need to think carefully about returning to your establishment. Thank you for the chance to express concerns.

The property was very good overall. The house was very roomy and had plenty of places to sleep. We enjoyed our stay at Primrose Family Lodge! The only complaint that we would have is that several of the rooms didn’t have good cooling.

Awesome Family Cabin

This cabin was perfect for our large family group. Lots of beds, plenty of towels and a well stocked kitchen. This cabin just feels like home and a great place to stay and enjoy the Arbuckle Mountains.

Fun family getaway

We truly enjoyed our stay for our summer family gathering. The big table was great for meals and games. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, coffee mugs, utensils, etc. It would have been nice to have another bathroom upstairs where the majority of the beds were located. One of the bedrooms was unusable because it was so hot, but we managed to make it work without that room. The tall grass on the lawn was an immediate turn off. Overall, though, we enjoyed our stay.

Our Review

We had 4 families staying and the house setup accommodated us with multiple bedroom and bed options. The doors have security alerts when they open, and the A/C kept the main areas cool. We cooked all meals at the house and appreciated the 2 refrigerators but did find the kitchen to be unorganized. We had some pests which impacted our kitchen use and required some extra spending. Tereza (host) replied quickly and had someone out there to remedy the situation the next day. Although it was better, the pests persisted throughout our stay, assuming they will take repeat treatments to completely mitigate. The internet was extremely poor and worked maybe 5% of our stay, which made communication around pests and working difficult. We ended up going to McDonalds in Sulphur multiple times to use the Wi-Fi. There were a few items in the listing that were not working as expected – foosball table had broken parts, air hockey table did not turn on, stove is older and although the burners worked fine the oven would barely heat up, one of the coffee pots didn’t work (didn’t try the other). Other items that can be overlooked but may be important based on group dynamic – There are many extra cots throughout the house, but very few extra pillows or blankets that we could find. Not all bedrooms and bathrooms have locks lacking privacy. There is unfinished wood on the stair wall that could easily in splinters for young kids. Overall, the location was good, but we wouldn’t choose to stay again.

Weekend getaway

Baseball Trip
