Longhorn Ranch Motel - Standard Room

The Longhorn Ranch Motel was built in 1991 and has seen the ownership change a few times over the years. As of March 1st, 2024, the new owners of The Longhorn Ranch Motel hope to provide the same quiet, beautiful and clean environment that has been enjoyed in the past with a few subtle improvements. Conveniently located near Big Bend National Park. Come explore the parks and then come back to our quiet motel and relax by the pool.
All standard rooms come furnished with a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. Additionally, complimentary Wi-Fi is available in each room.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay! The property was clean, water pressure was good, the king bed was comfortable. The restaurant was closed when we stopped by for breakfast (they didnā€™t have a cook), there isnā€™t an ice machine, and no cell service. WiFi worked great and the night sky was amazing! Plus, we were very close to restaurants in Terlingua and Big Bend National Park. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We've just returned home from a five night stay at the Longhorn Ranch Motel for day trips into Big Bend National Park. It was a little bit of a daily drive to the park but the beautiful vistas made it enjoyable each day. We stayed in a simply furnished room, as advertized, including a mini fridge and a microwave. The beds were comfortable and the room stayed at a comfortable temperature. The towels were plush and large. The grounds were kept neat and clean. If we were to be out this way again, we would certainly consider staying here again! awcomfortable

This motel was well situated about 30 mins from Big Bend and 15 mins from bars and restaurants in Terlingua. Keys for the room were picked up from a box outside the restaurant. The room itself was very basic but everything was in working order. The beds were ok but not super comfy. We had a small issue with the hot water which was dealt with promptly by Amy. If you just want somewhere to sleep with no frills, then this motel will do the trick. Also, if you want to eat at Starlight Theatre restaurant, make sure you get there at least 30 mins before it opens at 5 otherwise you will be waiting for a table for hours!!

My family of 4 stayed here for a couple of nights during our Big Bend trip. The location was great. Beds were comfortable. Loved sitting outside at night and watching the stars. We wish we wouldā€™ve brought food to grill on the pit. We enjoyed our stay.

The property was just as advertised. Simple, but clean...which given that we were in the area for a hiking trip in Big Bend, it was all we needed. The only recommendation I had was that the heater didn't work; (it was relatively pleasant at night so we didn't need it). Other than that, it met our needs.

I liked how our stay was only 2 days and I did not like how the bathtub was cracked and made out of plastic. I could not take a poop comfortably because of how small the bathroom was. We lost power and water on the first night. I tried to plug in a lamp but it started sparking and shocked me so I had to unplug it before It could cause a fire.

If you expect an unpretentious, quiet ranch motel, with an onsite restaurant you will be pleased. If you expect a 3 star hotel, you might be disappointed. We took advantage of the quiet, dark location to look at the blood moon through our telescope. The restaurant was surprisingly good.

Simply furnished but spotlessly clean. All of the basics are there. SO quiet and peaceful. Easy access to the National Park entrance. They also have a little restaurant featuring Mexican cuisine. Everything we ordered was delicious. Kind, helpful, hospitable staff.

For the area, this is a decent place. That being said, not a lot of options. The area did not have any AT&T cell service. The motels WiFi was good. The one surprise we did have was no TV. Luckily I had my tablet and we were able to watch that at the end of the night.
