Charming Alpine Cabin in Alma

A newly renovated cabin 4 miles north of Alma, CO. With easy access to daily needs in Alma, 25 minutes to Breckenridge, and a 5 minute walk from trout fishing on the Middle Fork South Platte River, make this cabin your basecamp for an escape to the mountains. With a fully-stocked kitchen, ski racks and boot driers, washer and dryer, a large deck and a toasty gas fireplace, this cabin is waiting to host your skiing, hiking, fishing, or off-roading adventures or peaceful escape to the mountains.

The space:
Two bedrooms, each with king beds and closets. We are located in Placer Valley, a subdivision of Alma and only 12 miles to Breckenridge.

Private cozy cabin with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, full kitchen, family room, and a spacious deck.

Important Notes PLEASE READ:

Four wheel drive or all wheel drive is HIGHLY recommended in November through May. The driveway and roads are plowed, but our high elevation valley gets a lot of snow. You will take a dirt road to get to the house. We strongly advise against coming to the Colorado mountains in the winter without a four wheel drive vehicle.

During the winter, it is likely that there will be snow and ice on the roads. The roads are well-maintained, but this is just a part of driving in the Colorado mountains. We cannot offer refunds due to snow or ice on the road.

Our wifi is Starlink. It is the best in the area. We have no problem using wifi or zoom. Cell phone service may be spotty in the area depending on your carrier.

This cabin is in one of the highest elevation towns in Colorado and altitude sickness is possible. Please be cautious, acclimate if necessary, and stay hydrated.

The stars are incredible here, please anticipate that there will not be street lamps in our neighborhood.

Guest Access:
Parking is in the pull in/out driveway. Parking is not allowed on the roads. All wheel drive or 4x4 required in winter.
