This is our second property with VRBO. Check out the sister property right next door Crestwood Lodge (www.vrbo.com/1645545).
We are two sisters who have very busy work lives and love to spend time with family on the July 4 week. We had our adult children join us from Colorado, NYC and Minneapolis. We spent 6 days floating on air mattresses and using the kayaks. The house is spacious and quiet. The beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed in this house. There is also a beach 1.5 miles away that you can drive or walk to. We walked each day in the nice neighborhood. Highly recommended this house
We had the BEST vacation at this property. My husband and I, our 3 kids their spouses and 6 grandchildren were all together and we all had a place to sleep, eat and play. So much laughter and games inside and out. The screened in porch is fantastic! We rented the pontoon for a day and enjoyed the lake. The kids caught so many fish. Such a rewarding trip all around. Our hearts are full!
This is our fourth year in a row to stay here on our three-generation annual vacation. The grandkids won't let us consider anywhere else. This house perfectly meets the needs of our family (6 adults and 4 kids). We appreciate the fully stocked kitchen as we eat most meals in. The easy fishing off the dock is a huge perk, and we made good use of the kayaks for turtle spotting. The sandbox and accompanying toys are also a hit.
This house was beautiful, perfectly located, and well-appointed. We were able to comfortably host family for Christmas. The hosts truly thought of every detail. We have stayed at many vacation homes around the world. This was one of our favorites!
Four couples shared an awesome weekend in this home while in town to watch hockey. The home is wonderful... clean, beautiful, and comfy! Highly recommend!
We did a girls cousins weekend.
We had a wonderful time at this house!
Losts of space, super updated, enough beds for everyone! Very comfy!
I loved the bunk room and sturdy bunks! It also has a king bed in there. It be would be great for families with kid's!
4 adults stayed in the bunks room and had no problems!!
There is so many close activities to do!
We went hiking and stoped at Carlos's winery!
Differently will come back!
iciche coe couch with!
What a beautiful home! Very spacious, very clean, and it was very kid friendly. We loved the fishing from the dock, the kayaks, and the lawn games. Chad was super responsive (and responded fast). And the neighbors were super friendly when we would go for walks! Our family loved this home, and wish we could bring it with us wherever we travel.
The weather didn't cooperate, but the house definitely made up for it. Great screened in porch perfect for the days that rained. Kids had fun fishing and adults had plenty of room to spread out. We would love to book again if we can find a week that is open.
This is the second summer we've stayed at LeHomme Dieu Cove and once again, it exceeded expectations.
The house is so clean and comfortable, plenty of space for all of us! The bedrooms are spacious and having 3 bathrooms is a big plus! The screened in porch is probably our favorite place, but the kitchen, dining and living areas were popular spots for hanging out too. Meals were easy for a large group in this setting. The lower level was a hit with the adult children and late night movies.
The lake was a lot of fun. We did catch fish, but also enjoyed multiple days of boating, floating and swimming in LeHomme Dieu. We also enjoyed boating to dinner across the lake.
Everything we needed was close by - groceries, bait, liquor stores, coffee shops, boutiques, Carlos Creek winery and more. Having access to multiple lakes was also fun when it came to boat cruises.
We look forward to coming back again and may need to rent their next-door property to accommodate our growing group. Thanks again for a great week at the lake. Driving only two hours home to the Twin Cities was also a plus, but we hope to be back soon!
This home is great. It was very clean with a great layout, stocked with all you'll need and plenty of space with open areas so you can all be together. One of the big highlights for us was the screened in deck (no bugs!) with fans. It made it bearable to be outside when it was sweltering out even at night so we could enjoy the peace and quiet of the quiet neighborhood (it's not party cove, but our family group with young kids appreciated that).
One thing to be mindful of so it doesn't ruin your trip is that the house is on an inlet. We were able to get our Wakesetter in there to the dock, but I was nervous enough to turn it off and paddle in at the entrance to the inlet then idle in the rest of the way. There were people fishing each morning in Rangers and Lund's reeling in bass, panfish and dogfish(?) so if you have an outboard you should be fine if you want to bring a boat back. There are also kayaks that our family enjoyed and it's a very calm area to check out turtles and frogs and everything. This wasn't a big deal for us, just be aware so you're not expecting a place where kids can splash in the water out front.
If we end up going back to the area we will check this place first, I can't say enough good things about it. Owner was also very friendly and checked to make sure everything was good, which it was. I can't imagine anyone being unhappy with a stay there.
This property is impeccably maintained, has tons of space for relaxing, much to do for the active ones, plus the hosts are gracious and availableâŠwhat more could you ask for? Our family loved our week here and you will too!
This was our familyâs second trip and hopefully will not be our last to this beautiful home. The house is spacious, clean, user friendly and has so many great places to gather and enjoy relaxed family time. We especially love the large screened in porch and itâs lovely view.
This was a great property for our two familyâs with college aged girls that play in Resorters each year.
It was clean quiet and well kept. They have a pontoon to rent also. A storm came through and did minor damage the owners fixed it immediately.
The house is on an inlet to the lake so you have great access and good views from the house.
It would not be ideal for dock swimming otherwise we have stayed in many places over our time playing up there. I would highly recommend this place.
