"Although navigating the narrow streets and roads can be a challenge, once you get to the top of the hill, the spectacular views and the modern sleek accommodations are more than worth it. Although the nearest town (Seixas) is not exactly a bustling metropolis, it is very quaint (as are the neighboring towns), and there's really excellent access by major arteries to Porto and beyond. We found a local vineyard with a great tour (and lunch) at Casa de Cuca, and enjoyed kayaking and bicycling pretty...

The only strange thing was the shower & toilet stalls in the room weren’t completely private. They both had frosted glass doors which didn’t extend fully to the ceiling so you can hear when someone was using the toilet and we had to let each other know when we were showering so we could step in & out of the shower with some privacy. "Spa was wonderful! The only downside was the tv welcome message came on twice in the middle of the night in my room and my friend's next door. Obviously this was annoying and woke us both up. The drinks at the bar were excellent but took awhile for the bartender to return. We enjoyed the piano player at breakfast. The beds were very comfortable."
