Disappointing & Dirty -including a Critter Catcher Showing UpI recently stayed at this property and had a disappointing experience from the start. Upon arrival, it was clear that the cleaners had overlooked several areas. I contacted the host with pictures, and while she refunded the cleaning fee and offered to send a cleaner, I declined since I didn't want the person responsible returning.Besides the areas not cleaned, we discovered numerous issues throughout our stay.- The sink drain was clogged with a huge hairball, making it unusable until WE cleaned it.- The dryer was ineffective due to a clogged vent. Well beyond just cleaning the lint trap.- The overhead bedroom light worked sporadically, and the closet was unusable due to random lamps, linens and a Christmas tree shoved inside.- Outdoor areas were filthy and covered in cobwebs. The backyard was a mud pit, making it unusable even on dry days.- Trash bins overflowing at curb- no where to dispose any trash. - Kitchen essentials missing. Soaps and shampoos were so watered down they were ineffective.Despite the ideal location, the lack of maintenance ruined the experience. Communication with the host was initially responsive but then stopped. As we prepared for a funeral, a "critter catcher" even showed up for a squirrel issue in the roof we were unaware of. I was embarrassed as my guests had never stayed in a VRBO before. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for accommodations.

Cute house and they did a pretty good job on the remodel. Unfortunately the backyard has zero grass and was just a big mud pit, plus there are shards of broken glass in the backyard, likely from the remodel, so we were not able to use it for our dogs and this was the primary feature that made us choose this property so we were disappointed. There were also no washcloths and only one hand towel between two bathrooms so we ended up at Walmart to buy our own. The area is great and very convenient, and the house is a good size and layout. Overall we were happy with it aside from the yard and towel situation.

My family booked this home for 5 nights. I hate to leave a bad review. We book vacation homes very frequently and always read reviews to help us get as much info on home we plan on booking. So many reviews said “cleanliness” in this home which to our surprise was NOT!! Black mold on shower curtain. Build up of soap scum, dirty LR rug with stains all over and a very strong smell as though trying to cover up an odor. Very “ unclean” we could not even spend 1 night in this home. The host who apparently lives in another state was extremely unaccommodating though she admitted the ball was definitely dropped on their side.We needed to open up a case with VRBO and they are investigating to get a refund because the host would do nothing at all except offer to refund the cleaning fee. So absurd!!

Property was well appointed. Literally had every little oddsy endsy thing we ended up needing. Property owner was very responsive with questions. Neighborhood was older but honestly, I felt safe... which is the biggest concern for me when traveling. Even had a mama deer with twins hanging out in the backyard. We would definitely stay there again.

The place was nice and clean. Plenty of space for sleeping. The master bed was fabulous to sleep on. Very easy to get in touch with the host when we ran into a problem. Which there were only a few minor details i personally found to be annoying.. the coffee pot was broken, but she ordered one and we picked it up the next morning along with supplies that were needed in the kitchen such as sponges for cleaning, dish soap, spray for cleaning the counter tops etc.. also the soaps and shampoos in the restrooms were watered down so much that it took 10-15 pumps to get a good lather for your hair to be washed so bring your own or expect watery soaps.. could use a few more utensils especially for larger groups. The grill outside needed desperate cleaning but no way to clean it so we cooked our burgers inside. .. other than those few minor things this was a winner and a wonderful place to stay and we'll definitely be back next year to stay again. Would recommend..
