« We wanted self catering accommodation that was not isolated that we can just chill out if we want to and this fits the bill. It is an easy walk into Ballater for shops restaurants etc. very central to explore the local area and there are some great walks. The accommodation is clean and well presented and has everything you need and the owners were helpful and friendly but left you in peace. I would certainly stay again if in the area. »

« My wife will never become involved in trip organization but is exceedingly quick to criticize!!! Initially, there were some murmurings as we ventured further from Alford but she rather sheepishly admitted that the quality was excellent which made my stay more enjoyable as well! The kitchen and all the rooms were very well appointed as part of a stone built barn conversion. So quiet and properly dark at night - the stars were fantastic.
