« It's a piece of luxury in an interesting place - don't let the exterior building fool you. You can be walking into another world in Sandakan and Hotel Sandakan is a sanctuary amongst it. The staff emulate the local Sabahan hospitality and friendliness, I will stay again next time. »

« Staff are exceptional - friendly, kind, helpful. There's nothing fancy about the place, but nothing fancy is needed, given the surroundings. I especially enjoyed my balcony with the fan. Breakfast is decent and it's only a 20 min walk to the orangutan rehab centre and 5 mins to the rainforest discovery centre. »

« Dernière nuit dans le Sabah. Hôtel dégradé, sale, donc très cher pour la mauvaise qualité fournie. Le restaurant pour le petit-déjeuner ouvre à 8h00. »

« The resort and facilities are basic compared to a city hotel, but it's really fantastic when you consider where it is. We really enjoyed our stay! »
