The screened porch was great for avoiding rain and evening mosquitos while still getting to enjoy the sounds and scenery. Fishing was good, lots of bites. « Although a tiny cabin, it was very well equipped. Movies to a can opener. Everything in between. Very generous supply of firewood. Wi-Fi wasn’t available but I am not complaining. Highly recommend going unplugged. Not much of any noise. Nature and an occasional passing boat, that’s trolling the water. Not much noise. Would definitely recommend and return. »

« We stayed here last July for my 40th as we wanted to be close to Madeline Island, but not camp. The main drawback was the list of restrictions. The red tape is I’m sure to avoid party goers, but it was a little bit of a turn off. Fortunately I asked the owners if it was ok to have my parents over for a fire abiding by the time limits posted and they ok’d it. « We found Sue and Norm’s place after abandoning plans to tent camp - rainy week predicted. Beautiful setting along the Chippewa River. Comfortable beds. Dining and relaxing seating area with large window view of the River. Fire ring out side between the cabin and water - we were able to use it two of the nights. « A very quaint and beautiful space! I imagined it to be like a little cottage in Italy; down the street from the vineyard. New, quality, well decorated place. The flower gardens were so beautiful. It was like a little gem in the middle of rolling, green hills. Loved every bit of this charming space! »

« I needed a place for overnight to attend a Friday night wedding near Hudson. The staff allowed me an early check in so I could get ready. It was clean, quiet and breakfast in the morning was just enough to start the day. There are many places nearby to grab snacks and even Thrift shop on your way out. »
