« Such a quiet spot. Far enough away from everyone but close enough to get something from town if you need. Only real complaint is that the bed is very very firm. Even though that is a matter of preference, I've stayed alot of places and never had a bed that firm. That is the only reason i cant give 5 stars. »

The views of Lake Superior are spectacular and being able to hear the water on the shore all night long makes for excellent sleeping. We've visited Duluth many times and Pumphouse has become our favorite place to stay. We look forward to our next visit. »

« The house was in a lovely spot. Park point is beautiful! A short walk over the sand dunes brings you to Lake Superior. This provided a great background for family pictures! The house was lovely! Very clean and well maintained. We even used the wondeful Sauna in the basement! »

« I received a message with check in instructions in advance and a phone number if i had any problems. The property was clean and welcoming. It was quiet at night for sleeping despite being on the Main Street through town. The bathroom has been recently remodeled and is nice. I would stay here again. It’s small and cozy, but clean and comfortable. »

You wouldn't know it by just parking by their garage since they're place is over the hill down to the lake. They were so good with being respective of space since they stay downstairs. « My husband and I along with our 2 young adult daughters spent Memorial Day weekend at the Polished Pebble Cottage. As other reviews have mentioned, the photos are true to the physical attributes of the rental. All of the bedrooms are on the second level. There was a very, very sufficient number of towels provided in each of the bedrooms for individuals to use.
