The village is known for its spectacular panoramic views over the Douro River and the surrounding vineyards, which have earned it the nickname "belvedere of the Douro". Pinhao

One of the main attractions in Pinhão is the Pinhão Railway Station, which is famous for its beautiful azulejo panels depicting scenes from the Douro Valley. Ponte Pedonal Metalica de Peso da Regua (Pass by)
The metal bridge was built in 1872 by King D. Luís I for road crossing of the Douro River and was deactivated since 1949 due to the state of degradation of the wooden board. The initial project belongs to engineer W. Liebe, and was later changed by engineer Johann Gaspar Harkort and the construction work was under the guidance of German engineer Wilherm Dulhener from the Eifel team.
