Check in was polite but rushed, shown to room and basically it was this is the room call us if you want anything. Started to unpack and found that the shelves attached to the clothes rail were thick with dust, and I mean thick, as was the rear of the settee which also had dog hairs on it which altogether spoilt the stay as you didn't know what was clean and what might be germy and we had seen no mention of dogs when booking, as we would not have booked there as wife is allergic to dogs. The evening food was OK but expensive for what it was,the breakfast was well cooked, some too well cooked and was to be honest pretty tasteless. We decide to mention it when we booked out, but surprise, there was a note on the bar door telling us to leave and lock the front door and post the keys back through the letterbox. Lovely stay
I had a lovely stay here and cannot fault a thing about it. I stayed on a Tuesday night which is their supper club evening, the restaurant was fully booked but they managed to squeeze me in. The food was lovely and really good value at £19 for 2 courses. The breakfast was also delicious! The bed was incredibly comfy with a good selection of pillows. The toiletries in the bathroom were locally sourced and really good quality. I would 100% recommend and hope to return myself soon.

Had an exceptional nights stay. The accommodation was excellent l. The food in the bars was outstanding, will definitely be returning.

Fairly small, rural old British pub and Inn. It has been an Inn since the 1700s. Perfect if you want a traditional old British Inn experience. We loved it. Family group of five in two rooms.

Amazing
We had a difficult journey with major car trouble to get to the Exeter Inn. After feeling stressed, exhausted and completely done in we arrived at the Exeter Inn and was greeted by Johnathan and Pip who couldn’t have made us feel any more welcome if they tried. Wow, wow and wow these guys are amazing, the place was amazing and the breakfast in the morning was stunning. Thank you, thank you, thank you guys and we would definitely go back again!!!

Just a pub stay, rooms were probably really nice when first done but looking a bit tatty now. Food very poor in the pub and drinks quite expensive. Someone also hit our car over night so that didn’t help.

The location of the pub is on a busy roundabout on a main road which is a bit noisy, It's a good base for getting to places around the area but there is not alot to do around the location. The people are very nice and the service is good. During my 2 night stay the chef had a problem with the food order so the menu was limited, however the food was good. The pub is a bit tired and in need of some decoration especially in the corridors, the rooms are comfortable however not serviced daily - cleanliness 6/10.

Charming inn
The room was very comfortable. The staff were so kind and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant there and it was excellent. The hotel is situated right on the road so there was some traffic noise (we had the windows open) but it was no problem for us. Just a very charming place!

Good accommodation and food at the Exeter Inn
Comfortable and clean accommodation. Free Parking on-site. Food very good and reasonably priced. The nearest village of Brampton is a short drive away. I would recommend the Exeter Inn to anyone who want to stay in this area.

What a wonderful overnights stay we had. Simone and her staff were so very welcoming and friendly the locals too were happy to chat, it was a great night. The rooms are modern and comfortable with plenty of mirrors and plug sockets, parking and dog friendly, even in the bar

Lovely accomodation and food, let down by service ie had to phone from my rooom to remind to give me iron etc and had to go to bar to place food order as forgotten in back room. Shower is one of those weak pressured electric box versions - adequate but not a pleasure. No breakfast availiable as there was an apperent gas problem Could easily be top rated with some staff training

Lovely Pub and accommodation
Staff very helpful and friendly. Would advise you book any meals before you attend as they can get busy. B'Fast is at 9:30 which we found a bit late but probably suits most people. Food was excellent although main courses could offer a bit more choice. Good selection of burgers but not much meat variation on the menu. Quiet area as it sits on its own in the countryside. Would recommend.

Nice enough for one night.
Quaint property, friendly staff and nice food. No staff present when we left so a bit of an odd departure. Offered breakfast when checked in that evening but no signs of anyone at 9.30am anyway.

Nice but needs basic cleanliness improving.
Place was lovely. Rooms & Decor. Beds very comfortable. We would say that the room clearly not be cleaned as it was very dusty & cobwebs on bed side lamps etc . Following this the same for breakfast. The teapots we were given had cobwebs on them & the milk jug had scum inside the jug. Also breakfast just fancied toast & it was 2 slices of the cheapest white bread and jam sachets which were dirty for £5.95 very expensive for wualiu

We had a lovely stayat the Exeter Inn. Made sliggtly different by Covid 19 restrictions but all of the staff were wonderful and we enjoyed the room.
