Lovely room, super comfy bed and bedding, big smart tv, new amenities, attention to detail, superb food (some of the best I have had), and a big shout out to Hollie and Tamsyn who were absolutely lovely. A couple of things that could be added are flannels (there were only large towels), a landline in the rooms (since no phone signal there, though they are happy to let you use their landline for taxis etc), and quiet-closing doors and some carpet/rugs in the hallway outside the bedrooms to dampen the noise of people walking. There was one thing that sadly ruined our otherwise lovely stay. There was no sign in the room or on reception to say what time checkout was, and nobody mentioned it to us checking in, so we assumed they were fairly flexible about it as long as we didn’t stay past midday for example. At 11.45am when we were checking out, they gave us a fine of £20, saying checkout was at 11am. A £20 fine for 45 minutes is insane. They said there are papers in the rooms saying about checkout but I explained we did not have one. I have never been fined for something like this before. It is just a shame to ruin a stay for this. Some large resorts may charge £20 to checkout a few hours late, but for 45 minutes, when this was not displayed anywhere?

super clean, spacious room and very friendly staff. Hotel looks newly refurnished and we have a pleasant stay in this hotel and very comfortable. Breakfast are also v delicious. Will definitely stay again. The only area for improvement is the toilet floor which required better cleaning as there are some stains on the floor.

Excellent, in every way.
Incredible value for money. Immaculate modern room with a really comfortable bed with high quality duvet and mattress. The walk in shower was amazing, thoughtful touches like a sensor light in the bathroom that gave a little light without the need to put the main light in during the night. The bathroom also seemed to have a heated floor!!!The room also had blown aircon although I didn’t use this. The lighting in the room was also very relaxing with dimmable main lights and soft bed side lights to help relax. I ate in the adjacent restaurant, the food was the highest quality and cannot be faulted in anyway. Great friendly service throughout my stay, will be back but has been fully booked when I have looked. This isn’t a surprise.

The perfect little place to stay.
This hotel is perfect, it's small with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are stunning and clean with lots of little things that make your stay just that little bit better. The food is next level and although a little expensive the quality and cooking is truly fabulous. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Lovely new rooms, beautifully decorated!
We booked 3 rooms this hotel at the last minute for a family gathering, after another hotel in the area let us down. We were so pleased with the rooms and the location. The restaurant/bar on site was super handy so we could have a few drinks together and not have to worry about driving. The location is slightly out of town, but there are loads of dining options a short drive away if you’re not eating at the restaurant. Breakfast was delicious, although a little bit pricey. Would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion would be to have a mini fridge in the rooms.

The hotel was new, clean and very welcoming. However the view from the bedroom window left a lot to be desired. Breakfast would have benefitted from the addition of fresh fruit and additional types of bread not just Sourdough.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. From the minute we checked in we were made to feel welcome. Lovely lady on reception you are an absolute credit to the place and never stopped as you were so busy. Room was spotless ( Acorn), very comfy bed , air con just what we needed in the very hot weather. We dined in the restaurant and the food was outstanding again the staff were great. Nothing was too much trouble. Had a great nights sleep. Amazing breakfast cooked fresh, plenty of it again staff were spot on. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning when we are back in the area.

Bestes Hotel unserer Südengland Reise 2023
Wir waren von dem Hotel begeistert. Parkplatz, Restaurant (Frühstück & Abendessen), waren sehr gut. Alles ist neu, sauber und gepflegt. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und das Bett war sehr bequem. Insgesamt war es sehr ruhig ohne Straßenlärm. Einziger anzumerkender Punkt ist, das unsere benutzten Handtücher (inkl. Dusch-Handtuch), obwohl wir diese zum Tausch auf den Boden gelegt hatten zum Wechseln, von dem Servicepersonal zurück auf die Handtuchheizung gehängt wurden. Als wir nach neuen Handtüchern fragten, wurde uns gesagt, das diese auf der Handtuchheizung gut trocknen und wir diese erneut benutzen können. Das wollten wir nicht, sondern neue frische Handtücher. Diese haben wir auch bekommen, doch die Verwunderung über unseren Wunsch war im Gesicht des Servicepersonals abzulesen. Das war für uns befremdlich, wir kannten einen solchen Umgang mit den Handtüchern noch nicht.- andere Länder andere Sitten? Abgesehen davon können wir das Hotel empfehlen, wir würden wieder buchen.

Very new property, with room very clean and well appointed (comfy bed, crisp sheets and generous soft towels). Plenty of space in the room and fresh modern bathroom, with nice toiletries provided. The hotel is clearly striving to provide a luxury experience and pretty well achieves it. Restaurant is modern with good quality food (although additional vegetarian items on menu would have been useful). Breakfast was cooked to order, but some fresh fruit on the buffet would have been nice.

Beautiful Room and Breakfasts to die for.
We arrived at the Kingswood in London Apprentice to be greeted by Amanda who explained everything we needed to know and showed us to our room. The room was beautiful and clean looking brand new . The bed was so comfortable and the rain shower amazing. It's a short drive to a large Asda and a McDonald's and KFC which we had on the first night. We went for breakfast and I have to say one of the best breakfasts I have ever had..the full English and I couldn't eat it all. Overall an excellent stay and a good base to visit many sights in Cornwall...also the hotel is dog friendly which is always a plus for us.
