Hotel tres bien situe

I have spent there ten days, the hotel is very well situated: near a stop of the airport bus, not far away from a central subway station, therefore not far away from a lot of things to see and visit. I wish there would have been the possibility of a breakfast in the morning, but there was a fridge in the room, and a boiler. Internet in the room was a plus,and the hudge tv too. Everybody was very kind and ready to help me if I needed an advice or had questions. The comfort in the room was simple but correct.

le bus de l'aéroport vous dépose à proximité de l'hotel. vous êtes à 50 m environ ( ne partez pas comme moi n'importe où ^^) je vous conseil vivement de préparer l'adresse de l'hôtel en coréen ( les coréens sont des gens très gentils mais le problème c'est que même s'ils ne connaissent pas l'adresse, ils ne vous le diront pas et vous dirigeront vers une direction. Ce n'est absolument pas méchant de leur part, mais faites attention : pour ma part, on m'a envoyé dans direction puis vers une autre et finalement je me suis rendu compte que j'étais au début juste à côté de l'hôtel lol ). + : - station de métro juste à proximité : je ne me rapelle plus du nom désolé - comme je le disais bus pour l'aéroport à proximité (dans les deux sens) - chambre très confortable (jacuzzi - pas utilisé / grande TV)

La mariée était trop belle

La Chambre où nous avons séjourné était très propre avec un équipement exemplaire: télévision grand écran plat, ordinateur, bain à remous. Un vrai rêve qui s'est vite transformé en cauchemar une fois la nuit tombée, des bruits et des cris incessants à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de l'hôtel nous empêchent de trouver le sommeil. Une grosse déception donc, et une expérience que je ne conseille à personne.

Value + location + Good Staff

Les + : large well decorated rooms , good wifi, nice staff, good location, value!!, big bathroom,
Les - : air conditioning placement (not pointed at the bed), sweeping the floor more often.
Situation : several cafe's for breakfast close by, countless restaurants ( tho many didn't look to have English menus) close to major station, close to banks.
Hotel staff spoke English well, never had difficulty explaining myself, i found that the station which is about a 5 minute walk away, is a major station with several major lines, most important of which is line 2, and that is the closest to the hotel ( exit number 2). The room looked very nice, well themed and decorated (romantic) with a nice large tv with a few english channels, a work computer if you didn't bring your own laptop, fast reliable WiFi, complimentary water and juice in the cooler, which got restocked every day and a nice large bathroom and tub. (the room itself was large compared to many Japanese/Korean living conditions) The room also sports a nice lighting system you can control the TV, the lights and the air conditioning with a single remote. The bed was on the harder side, while i have had worst hotel beds, i had a good nights sleep every time and on the good side it was nice and large so the two of us had plenty of room to stretch out. The view was nice, but the window was small, then again, on the good side, once we closed the decorative shutters the room became nice and dark as well as silent. my biggest concern was the air conditioning vent is pointed at you when you sleep, so it became quite cold at night, we had to rely on cooling the room down at night and then turning it off when we went to sleep. another solution was to put towels in the railing in front of the bed and point the vents down. the floor could have been cleaned more often.

Seoul What a wonderful place

Spent 3 nights at Amourex hotel with my daughter and we found it very conveniently located, spacious, clean and comfortable. Front desk was always eager to help with our day excursion plans. The most part the front desk did speak english.Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone.Thanks

I loved it - others in the party didn't have such a nice room. Not the best area of Seoul, but it's pretty close to the metro station, and 10 minutes later you can be anywhere

Hotel refused to provide us with an additional rollaway bed despite the facts that we have already paid in advance for the rollaway to Hotel.com. The staff attutide wasn't very good. The bathroom is very big and not properly maintained

Our 2nd trip to Korea. 1st was in high end hotels - went cheaper this time. The hotel was good value for what we paid. The big issue to us was no laundry. Apparently "Laundry Facilities" doesn't mean an in house guest laundry. There were 7 of us, with 3 rooms. Each room was different. 1 had a queen & single bed & bath. 1 had a shower & a round bed & fancy walls. The 3rd had a queen bed & spa with glass walls. The apparent contradictions in other reviews could be because of the different rooms. If the room you get is not ok, ask to try another. Some of the "negatives" are "normal" for locals. E.g. they had small towels in the rooms, but were happy to give us large ones when asked. In the room are personal items, such as half used skin lotions, hair brushes, pre used soap in the bathroom soap dish, none of which Australians would touch. Not an issue for us, we just used our own items. I stay in places like this to see how the locals live – it would be stupid to then complain. Largest patronage was tourists, all nationalities. Followed by businessmen. In 10 days I only saw 3 couples using the hotel as a love hotel. Reception staff spoke english & helpful. 2 corner shops within 100m. A supermarket in the basement of the building 30m down the hill. Literally hundreds of places to dine within a 300m radius. 5 mins from Wangsimni train staion where 3 lines cross. There is a lift to the subway next to Exit 5. Emart/cinema/fashion centre/fast food 5 minutes walk.

The hotel location is its key advantage, its really very accessible and there are lots of food shops around including e-mart a few blocks away. The price too is really cheap and advisable for traveler who prefer to stay out for touring the city. The room accommodation is quite okay, however, the lobby of the hotel is not appealing nor well kept and of three male staff only one can speak simple English.

Winter 2011 (4 night stay)

The hotel location is an easy walk to the subway and bus station. Counter clerks spoke acceptable english and were friendly and helpful. Our room (family room) was very clean, looked newly renovated, shower/tub is fancy, wood floor is heated which was great since we visited in Jan. but the room had a tendency to be too hot. We lowered the temp. by opening the window shutters. Our room was cleaned everyday and we got fresh towels daily. However the general public areas of the hotel were not kept up so well. The lobby and hallways looked outdated. But since we were there only at night, this was not a big deal. But the first impression coming to the hotel could be improved by updating these areas.
