Déception sur cet hôtel ... L'accueil fut enjoué mais l'entrée dans la chambre fut moins agréable : une odeur de bois pourri émanait de la salle de bain, ce qui laisse supposer un état de putréfaction des panneaux lié à l'humidité qui règne dans cette salle de bain qui aurait bien besoin d'une rénovation. Heureusement une bonne literie et un environnement calme permet de passer une nuit correcte. Arrivé au petit déjeuner, il faut trouver de la vaisselle propre, finalement j'ai dû faire ma vaisselle avant de commencer, ce fut le second point noir du séjour -> un investissement sur le lave-vaisselle est à prévoir au plus vite. Le restaurant est à l’intérieur du Pub, il y règne une ambiance conviviale. La nourriture est basique, principalement basée sur les Burgers (dont on ne peut choisir la cuisson de la viande) et sur principe "grill", mais servi généreusement et de qualité correcte. Comme on ne voit pas les assiettes vides on ne peut pas se faire une idée de la propreté initiale, mais je dois avouer que cela m'a refreiné dans mon enthousiasme. Heureusement, le personnel est avenant, sans ces inconvénients, c’est un établissement ou j’aurai pu me sentir bien. Dommage, ce pourrait être un bel établissement moyennant quelques investissements...

Jo, the lady on reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was big with a nice en-suit bathroom. The room had decent curtains that were fairly good at blacking out the light. The cooked breakfasts were tasty, vegetarian was available and speedily served.

I stayed in a large room in a separate annex to the pub. Really comfy and clean. Bar area was great and although i didnt try it, the food looked good, Will stay here again

Our stay at the Brentwood was excellent . The staff were all very helpful and very courteous . Rooms are basic but clean and have all the facilities that you would need . I would definitely stay at the hotel again .

Lovely place
What a lovely place. Staff were so friendly and helpful room was lovely. Had a lovely meal next door and a fab breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay again.

Toy fair stay
It’s ok,clean,tidy. Not worth the £80 I paid as have stayed in better places & have paid less. Could do with a spruce up(loo roll holder was loose for instance) a lick of paint wouldn’t go a miss especially. Bed was comfortable & room was clean so nothing majorly wrong with it but probably wouldn’t return at that price.

My stay was exceptional. Staff were friendly, polite and accommodating. The only issue I found was the amount of stairs to climb to access my room, because the hotel doesn't have a lift.

This was a victorian building. Previously had been built by the Mayor of Rotherham. The property was full of character and interesting to look around.

It is such a lovely old building, not so keen on the newer accommodation part. Plenty of parking. The staff are lovely and friendly. Shower curtain in the room needed replacing - had mastic and stains on. Bedhead wall needs skimming and repainting as finish was bumpy and chipped. Carpet in room looked quite new so some money has been spent recently. A tea tray in the room would be better than stuffing the items in a plastic glass. Proper glasses for fruit juice at breakfast would be nicer than the plastic ones available.

The bedrooms are a little tired and the annex corridor smelt fusty - very lumpy pillows and hard bed - but the linen was clean - not a lot more to say really other than it served a purpose for an overnight stay after a day and evening out in the area !!

What can I say!! I keep on going back as it’s great, from check in to check out!! Staff on reception to staff in the bar to the cleaners!! They are all so friendly and helpful. Then there’s the room!! Just clean & comfortable. Be back again when I’m in the area!!
