Les + : The service was outstanding.
Les - : Would liked the air-conditioner to have worked all night. Additonally, a micro-fridge would have been a nice addition.
This hotel has been updated and it is lovely. The staff are what makes the experience exceptional. We were there as we were participating in the Quad Cities Half Marathon. Sadly, I do not think the staff at the hotel were aware that there was a large race in town. I had called to ask if they were going to lay out the breakfast earlier than 6am since the actual race started at 7:30am and I believe that I caught the person unaware. However, she did her best and asked me when the race started and how soon would we need the food. She even changed the time to 5:30am which I thought was great considering she didn't have notice that people would be needing an earlier breakfast. Additionally, they were also not prepared for all the late check-outs on Sunday (as people needed to come back and shower before they headed out) but they worked with us and we did the late check-out and they were very gracious about it. I really enjoyed how they seemed to go out of their way to meet my needs. The only weird thing about the hotel was around 3am each night the air-conditioner would stop but then go back on in the morning. So it would get really not in the middle of the night but then me fine again come morning. Very odd.

We really liked this hotel and will definitely use it when we are in the area. The rooms were clean, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was awesome!!!

Okay accommodations

Les + : Price was very reasonable for the Quad Cities hotel market.
Les - : this motel has very poor sound deadening. you can hear everything the people do next to and above you.
Situation : Location is close to highways, a mall, and a number of restaurants.
Check in was slow, clerk seemed overwhelmed, perhaps new to the position?

Staff was friendly. Room was fine. They were remodeling the whole first floor, except the pool area, so it was a mess down there - should be nice when completed. The breakfast was OK. The location was good for us, as it is near 80. The area was a bit run down with few eating options. Good for one night stop on the way to our destination.

Nice "Get Away" for Valentine's Day

Les - : Fix the tick in the heating system in room 304
Situation : South Park Mall was nearby and nothing much else.
We arrived around 6 pm with pizza in hand. We asked if we could eat downstairs in the breakfast area and were told, yes. The front counter staff were very helpful and nice. We went swimming and the pool was very nice, (a bit small, but clean and nice. The concern was that when the 2 busses pulled in with college kids , that it was not going to be a peaceful night. Yes, it was a bit noisy until they went to bed, but overall, it was a relatively easy situation with minimal noise. There was a ticking in the heater in our room. That was annoying.and bothersome. We finally just shut it off to get rid of the noise. Breakfast was delightful, with the exception of again all those college kids taking up all the seats, so there was no place to sit.
