Excellent Hotel but read the small print

Publié le 5 août 2014
Les + : Breakfast buffet was extremely good with a variety to cater for everybody. Accessibility is brilliant .
Les - : Making clear the terms and conditions of using the wellness centre.
Situation : Acccessibility TO METRO AND THE SHOPPING MALL
The clarion congress is an Excellent hotel with good accessibility .the staff are very polite and helpful. Both Tereza's at the concierge went out of their way to help us .The cooling sytem in the rooms keep switching off automatically, the receptionist said that they switch off in the night .Also the children are not allowed in the pool after 4 pm .Hope they make this clear on their website.

really great hotel, good transport

Publié le 31 juil. 2014
the hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. the room was perfect too. the hotel is attached to a gym/health suite as well as a mall so basics were all at hand. we had to get the metro to and from town, but it's very cheap and easy to navigate.

Great location for O2 Arena

Publié le 2 mai 2014 sur Hotels.com
Great hotel close to the O2 Arena only about a five or ten minute walk away, also right above a tube station so it's just a fifteen minute journey right into the centre. Breakfast was good and the free wifi was brilliant throughout the hotel. For what we paid it was an absolute bargain! Would return at the drop of a hat.

Good business hotel

Publié le 18 nov. 2013 sur Hotels.com
A very comfortable and professionally managed business hotel. Rooms were well furnished, but with the typical small European TV. Free wifi in the room and was fast enough for video calls. Breakfast was included and was quite good. Convenient for public transportation with a metro stop in the attached mall basement but otherwise this is not a convenient location for tourists.

a good hotel - poorly located

Publié le 7 oct. 2013 sur Hotels.com
A very large hotel. Conference venue as well as tourist groups. Great breakfast. Free WiFi in room, paid in conference rooms. Valet laundry available. Ironing board and iron in room. Complementary access to the Gym at the "Galerie-Fenix" shopping mall directly attached to hotel. Rooms are medium to large (in European standards) and adequately equipped. Staff speaks decent English. The only real downside of the hotel is its location. Touristic Prague is a small part of town, 1-2 hour walking distance end to end. This hotel is NOT in the touristic part of town. It is a 10-15 minutes taxi (or Metro) ride away. The good news is that the Metro station is right at the hotel/Mall basement. The bad news is that you need to ask the reception desk or concierge to call a taxi as the hotel entrance is not at the main road. Distance to airport 40 to 70 minutes depending on traffic. Taxi fare ~$40 give or take.

A short break in Prague

Publié le 2 sept. 2013
Les + : Room superb - clean, comfortable and spacious.
Don't be put off by this hotel's being out of town - the city is easily accessed by the underground stop connected to the hotel's location

Nice hotel, friendly staff.

Publié le 7 août 2013
Les + : Breakfast. Clean room.
Les - : Bad neighbor guests
Situation : 7 stops to downtown. Prague is a small city.
It's a very nice & relatively new hotel. The staffs are nice and professional: the reception desk, the breakfast service, the housekeeping.. they made me feel very comfortable. The breakfast, SUPERB. prepared with heart. The hotel is 7 metro stops from city center. in 10 min you're in downtown. It's connected underground to a metro station, which made it super easy to find. A supermarket (billa) is also connected with the hotel: saved me a lot during my stay. The room is not big but quite clean. Depending on which side your room is, it might be on the street side. Luckily it's not a busy street and with little noise, compared to some hotels I know in downtown. There is an independent gym in the mall associated with the hotel. Free, however not infinitely. The gym manager allowed me to use it for 20 mins each day. (maybe it's just my package I don't know.) not a big deal though given I'm not in prague to work out. The only reason I gave 3 to the "comfort of your room" is because of my nasty neighbors, which to be honest, is NOT in control of the hotel. A family with two kids were next door to me. Those stupid kids often run in the corridor and made loud noise, even at night. And their parents just let them be. Again, it's not the hotel's fault. Bad guests are everywhere. Last tip for your stay in Prague, watch out scammers! be careful with taxi, and never exchange money with individuals on street! Police are not helpful with that there.

Very large rooms. Very comfortable. Above shops.

Publié le 28 juil. 2013
Les + : Size of room
Les - : Breakfast rather large and impersonal
Situation : Above a shopping centre and metro station. Plenty of cheap places to eat in food court in shopping centre: restaurants in hotel were expensive.
We had two interconnecting rooms for a family of 4. Each room had two large queen beds in . They are large rooms. If you were canny, you could probably sleep 4 in one room ! Breakfast was a bit of a melee: a very large dining room. But plenty of variety. Coffee rather weak. But good selection of teas.
