Nice but noisy

Publié le 23 juil. 2014
Les + : Comfy, clean, intimate.
Les - : Adding a/c and noiseproof windows.
Situation : Close to subway station and center of Paris. Street very festive with many places to eat or buy food.
The room was small (as you can expect in Paris) but clean and close to a subway station. Breakfast is good and staff very polite and attentive. Hot in summer (no a/c, only a fan), but you can open wide a large window. The only thing negative is the noise coming from the street, from beginning of night (people partying) to very soon in the morning (city workers cleaning the street). Laundry a few step away.

Interesting location

Publié le 15 juil. 2014
Les + : Front desk staff were lovely.
Les - : Free Wifi would have been helpful.
Situation : Short walk to Pantheon. Some shops nearby. Lots of places to eat. Public transport further away.
If you are in Paris, and want to stay in a vibrant, busy part of the city, then this Hotel is a good one to stay in. Lots of restaurants, bars and food places all within 1-2 mins walking distance. In fact, even right next door! Ok, the room was tiny, but as long as you don't mind that, I have no problem recommending this Hotel to others. The room I had was noisy, but it was the happy noise of a busy, humming street below. It didn't bother me. The only issue I had was having to pay for WiFi. It was quite a long walk to get to the Seine and to find all the bus/boat tour departure places, but once I had the location clear it was no problem. I understand it would have been easy using the Metro also, but I just walked everywhere.

Excellent location in the Latin Quarter.

Publié le 9 juil. 2014
Les + : location location location!!! The lady on reception was cheerful and helpful and the room was clean. good breakfast.
Les - : Some of the staff were not helpful and pretty grumpy. Some rooms could be noisy.
Situation : Excellent. lots of reasonably priced restaurants nearby. We tried 3 and all were sound. 10 minutes from Notre Dame and 5 minutes from the Pantheon.
We had cycled to Paris from London so this was our last stop. The man on reception was initially pretty unfriendly but then warmed up! our room was on the first floor at the back so it was quiet and we were able to store our bikes on the little patio garden outside. Our room was very small.

Great Latin Quarter Location

Publié le 5 juil. 2014
Comfortable beds, small bathroom - 2 was a crowd! Good service from staff. We breakfasted in the sunshine @ various nearby cafes, though you can pay extra for in house buffet which looked nice. Had to pay for in house WiFi.

Great neighborhood, close to the Metro

Publié le 24 juin 2014
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and 4 nights and it was great! We easily took the metro from Charles de Gaulle to our hotel. The metro stop is a block from the hotel. The neighborhood is in the Latin quarter and had a very friendly feel to it. Plus literally right down stairs are many restaurants to choose from. The only downside was that the room we stayed in was pretty small but we knew this about European hotels before booking. The staff is friendly and more than willing to give you directions anywhere. Overall it was a great experience for us both in a fun neighborhood.

Typical Parisian Hotel: Terrible

Publié le 2 juin 2014
Les + : Absolutely nothing.
Les - : If they were to bulldoze the entire block and rebuild under different management.
Situation : Location was okay, in younger hip part of town in 5th.
Uninterested and rude front desk staff: I wanted to extend my stay but front desk man said there were no rooms when my expedia app clearly was showing me that there were plenty. He grudgingly kept our bags in downstairs storage the next day before our departure... TINY room with one terrible mattress which they called a double room. But, this is the way it goes in Paris unless you pay 500 Euros or more. If you are there on business fine, but for tourists there are SO many more beautiful in France and Europe to go visit that the miserable city that is Paris.
