Hotel à 10 minutes à pied du centre et 2 du métro
Excellent hôtel par son confort, ses services mais un bémol pour l'accueil qui s'est révélé décevant. Hotel à dix minutes du centre ville à pied et deux minutes de l'accès au métro. Celui ci peut vous amener directement à l'aéroport en 15 minutes et sans difficultés. Hotel a privilégier.

The location is not great, but the room itself is good and has all the features we needed. Decoration was a bit ‘tired’ but nothing really bad. Breakfast was good.

Such warm and welcoming staff at reception who helped us with local knowledge, restaurant recommendations and information about student life in Newcastle! Very friendly - would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying over to look at universities.

I would like to congratulate all the staff at holiday inn Jesmond for their willingness to help , excellent service , caring attitude and smiling faces !!! I had a most enjoyable stay and was very comfortable . staff went out their way to help specially dining room staff and chefs Mark and Paulo who looked after my friend who had lactose and gluten intolerances . nothing was a problem to all staff . thank you very much .

Second time at Holiday Inn in Newcastle Jesmond and I love it. The staff was so pleasant and respectful. They go above and beyond to meet your need.This hotel will always be my pick every time I spend time in Newcastle. Kudos to the kitchen staff. They are the nicest!The continental breakfast was awesome!

Disappointed Stay :0(
The heating/AC unit was not working in our room and the ceiling vents caused a draught which made the room feel even colder, so we used the plug-in radiator which was adequate enough to heat the room after roughly an hour. Because the room was cold, it made the bed feel cold too, so bedding down wasn't a cosy experience and I'm glad i took my pyjama's otherwise it would have been difficult to get to sleep. The lift broke down on Friday night and it was very difficult to navigate through the corridors to find our way around. We made reception aware of this, for health & safety reasons and suggested they sign post the exit for guests. We were told it would be done but the next morning, nothing had changed and we found ourselves again, roaming aimlessly around the building, trying to get out of the building, which we did by stumbling across the fire exit door to the car park. I was disappointed that we had to pay £10 per night for parking as last time we stayed here, there wasn't a charge.

Good place for exploring Newcastle and the North East. Clean, big spacious rooms, good breakfast, just 250 meters to Jesmond Metro Station. Great staff, all very friendly and helpful.

Good place for a nice stay in Newcastle. Had booked this hotel again, spacious rooms, clean, modern, good breakfast, friendly staff, parking and the Metro Station Jesmond just a 3 minute walk away. Would book again when I come to Newcastle again.

Very Cold Room
Heating in the room was intermittent so it was very cold. Reception staff tried to help by bringing two heaters. I was offered another room but it was in a separate building, up four flights of stairs. Room was a good size but not in great condition - the sink drain was partially blocked and the desk light didn't work. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Walking distance into the city centre but parking at £10 for the night seems very pricey.

Great location for us
Nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Had a noisy room the dirst night, so arranged to be moved for the next night .. no issues. Location was great for jesmond life and jesmond dene, aswell as city centre. Stones throw from the metro station too.

Personeel is vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Ontbijt is prima. Hotel oogt bij binnenkomst redelijk modern. De kamer (118) is schoon maar aan onderhoud toe. Oubollige inrichting. Bed is erg smal en er zit een kuil in het matras. Scheuren in muur en plafond. Uitzicht op een muur en naast het raam de afvoer van de airco of keuken die je constant hoort. Badkamer is ruim. Douchen in bad maar met een handdouche met te korte slang. Toilet erg laag en ongelukkig geplaatst. Het is er gehorig. Deuren op de gangen die klapperen. Voor ons een eenmalig verblijf bij dit hotel dus.

Good Overnight stop, excellent breakfast
Perfectly OK overnight stop, comfy room, excellent breakfast. We don't have an electric car but did notice a good number of charge points in the car park.

We only stayed 1 night for an open day at the nearby university but couldn’t fault them and if our son gets into this chosen uni we will definitely be using this hotel to stay for visits. The staff were very friendly and accommodating

Nice hotel but awful beds.
The hotel is nice, breakfasts are good with plenty of choice. We had a double bed which sank in the middle and we are not big people. The bed was very uncomfortable. Pillows were hard.

Some of the public areas needed hoovering We could not work out how to use the main overhead shower in our bathroom - my husband is a plumber and we still couldn't work it out - the controls would not move!

Stayed as up for Great North Run. Location was spot on (also easy to get public transport into the city centre). Staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful.
