“Good for the price, with parking and easy walk to subway.”
Hotel is not in the best location as far as downtown Montreal is concerned, but it had parking for our car and was a short walk to subway. Our room was for three adults and had plenty of room and was comfortable. We did not spend a lot of time in room or hotel. Breakfast was included and was simply continental and a mediocre standard, but enough to give you a start to the day. Staff were friendly to us and we had no problem with the booking. There were other people who had problems at the front desk and they seem slightly disorganised in this ndepartment.
“Mud-range Mid-town comfort”
An above average comfortable hotel with good services, pool and fitness centre.
“Good price vs. quality”
noting exceptional but the standard was Ok vs the package 1 weeek price I get
“Good if your looking for a place to rest your head for a low price.”
The hotel itself was alright. If you're just wanting to sleep there, then it's the place for you. If you'd like to have supper at the hotel, forget about it. The restaurant looks more like a cafeteria and I didn't see anyone working. There wasn't anywhere really close by to eat either. Yes there is the Pizza Pita place, but when I walked in it was extremely busy and loud. Walking along the Decarie is no picnic either, you can imagine the intense noise level from all the 1000's of cars below on the highway and the cars zooming by me. After a long day I was looking for relaxation and peace, didn't get it here.
“NO PROFESSIONALISM”
THIS HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE A GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, IT IS NOT CLEAN AND THE PEOPLE WORKING AT THE FRONT DESK NEED SOME TRAINING HOW TO WELCOME CUSTOMERS.
“Nice, simple and inexpensive hotel”
The elevator air conditioning was quite loud and the lights on the various buttons did not all work. The continental breakfast was ok - bread, bagels, hard-boiled eggs, some kind of Danish. The plasticware was sometimes in short supply, but was replenished quickly enough when mentioned. The kosher butter with only Hebrew characters on the packaging was fine once you figured out what it was. I did not realize that the hotel was so kosher, but being a Catholic from New York with many Jewish friends, I felt at home. The room was very fine and clean. The high speed internet for free was an extra added plus. The free parking area behind the hotel made the stay very much easier. I did not use any of the other facilties besides my room and the breakfast area, so I cannot say one way or the other anything about them. The price was good and the hotel is right next to a highway and made getting around quite easy. I was not really more than a 15 minute drive from anything I wanted to see or wnywhere I wanted to visit. Overall, it was a positive experience.
“Pretty good.”
It could be better, if the number of guests was taken into consideration. There were 3 of us, we paid for the extra person and expected to have everything for 3. Unfortunately there were only 2 sets of towels. the next day, When we came after our many hours walk around the city about 10 pm, there were not towels even for one person. I called twice, then had to go downstairs to get the towels. The breakfast was good, but we expected croissants also. It's a little far from downtown, we had to take subway. But in general the trip was very good. Unfortunately we were so tired that couldn't enjoy the advertised pool.
“Great stay”
We visited Montreal to spend time our long lost second cousins that we have not seen in over 15 years. The hotel staff were very accomodating. They gave us a conference room to use free of charge. The location is superb. we left our car at the Hotel, and used the mass transit. My husband was impressed by the amount of services this place offers free of charge. The include, fridge, local calls, parking, breakfast, internet, business center. all in all this was a great stay at a great price.
“Barely Adequate for the price”
My family stayed at this hotel due to its proximity to my parents' home. Though the neighborhood was okay, the hotel was not. This became evident the moment we walked in from the parking lot and were greeted in the foyer by a mass of buckets on the floor catching water from the leaking roof. The best way I could describe this place an obvious lack of pride of ownership. Whoever owns it appears to not want to put a dime into maintaining the place or making it attractive. The front desk staff was courteous, but everything was in disrepair and of minimal or sub-standard quality. The furnishings were worn and appeared to be from a second-hand store. My room had a large sheet of bare plywood nailed to the wall in one spot, covering who knows what. The toilet would not function due to the chain inside the tank being disconnected. The grout in the tub tiles was dirty with a thick ring of dark green mold around the top of the tub. All it would have taken is a quick scrub with some bleach but that is obviously beyond the effort the housekeeping staff is willing to make. I stayed 5 nights but, in spite of my repeated requests, the complimentary coffee in my room was never replenished after I drank it the first morning.
“Ok Hotel”
The toilet was problematic. The continential breakfast area was crowded. I would go back. They were clean and comforatble.
