Comfort and value ffor money.
Conveniently close to Manchester Piccadilly station (if you can get out on the right side and if the lifts are working). Very large rooms and bathrooms. Corridors a bit the worse for wear. Excellent breakfast. Desk staff friendly but not exactly efficient--there are long queues. Good value for money.

Had. To give an average rating for property condition and facilities as it's currently undergoing a lot of reconstruction, so there's scaffolding up, men working in reception and on the scaffolding. Wee bit disconcerting to have labourers directly outside your bedroom window! Would have enjoyed using the spa but the temporary changing room put me off. Plus we had to use a temporary entrance/exit which caused some confusion with the sat nav directions. Thought £25 per day for parking was a bit steep. Staff were friendly and helpful, at reception and in the bar. In the restaurant at breakfast the lady making the omelettes to order was exceptionally amenable and chatty. Our room hadn't long been refurbished, so it was immaculate. We did have an issue with the shower being too hot, mentioned it at reception and they sorted it immediately. Appreciated having a fridge in the room too. Location is good for going to the O2 Apollo and walkable distance to the city centre.

I was disappointed in the hotel, the bed was really uncomfortable, air con didn't work, so had to move rooms at midnight as it was stuffy and the blackout curtains didn't fully cover window area, so got woken up by the bright sunlight. Bad nights sleep so would not stay again.

We were quite shocked at the state of the room we were put in! It was only for a one night stay but the carpet had what looked like blood stains on it. The mattress on the bed was absolutely worn out! It sagged into the middle and was terribly uncomfortable. The room was dated to say the least and most certainly Did not reflect on the photos that are on the website. I suggest that Expedia take a good look at the hotel because what they have shown on their pictures does not reflect the low standards of the rooms of this hotel. It would be interesting to hear a reply from Expedia but I’m not expecting one.

The staff were lovely and the room was a great size. The bathroom and products were amazing. The breakfast was lovely too. The only criticism was how hard it was to find as the postcode puts you in at the main road, not at the back for the car park, so it took my husband’s previous experience as a truck driver to work out how to get in. The car park is also not clear as there are two black gates. It was also very expensive.

The property was in the middle of re-modelling and the room smell like someone had smoked a cigar in it. The staff was nice specially the breakfast staff. The room is very spacious and comfortable overall it's an average experience and plenty more room for improvements.

Lovely room and great location. However not made clear pre booking that property is under massive renovation which meant lots of areas closed off including restarant/Bar and gym and temporary var restarant/dining put in a conference suite. We were told at check in that breakfast would be from 6.30 to 9, however not made clear they wanted us out by 9am to start maintenance. Quite a few people caught out on this. Make this clear in your advertising of rooms or you will nust get complaints. Staff were very friendly.

Hotel is currently going through renovation. The dining area is not great and the hotel is clad in scaffolding. The evening meal was bluntly awful. Reception staff were great.

Booked a junior suite for the night. As I booked though Expedia, there was no warning that we would be staying in a building site. 8am Saturday morning we was woken by scaffolders that were drilling into the bedroom wall and erecting scaffold. Sadly not just the extreme noise and vibrations from the drill was the issue, the scaffolders shouting obscenities to each other (they must of been warning ear plugs) were constantly trying to look into the bedroom window through the reflective glass, so were pressing their heads on the window. Not what I expect when my wife and I were getting dressed. I have photos and videos of this. Complained on checkout, and they said they “couldn’t do anything” and receptionist offered a coffee as compensation.. no thanks. We have stayed there several times before it changed hands, but we will be avoiding this hotel going forward. Breakfast is similar to Little Chef quality, and is a temporary setup due to building works. Don’t get your hopes up for a breakfast that matches the cost of the stay. You only get one flat pillow each, and there was no spare pillows anywhere in the room. Room was freezing when we arrived, but they had handily dumped an electric radiator for use in the middle of the room.

The property was very good. Our room was very large and the breakfast was delicious. We ordered dinner from the hotel for one night and it was also delicious, but a little pricey. The fire alarm did go off in the middle of the night, but we spoke with the hotel and they were very nice about it. Overall, an amazing hotel with excellent amenities, and the metro link and bus stop are very close by. Great hotel if you are coming from manchester airport.
