Plein de charmePublié le 10 juil. 2014

Good B&B in a great location, let down by detailsPublié le 21 oct. 2014
Les + : The location was perfect.
Les - : My bathroom was small and cramped, with dated fixtures. The room was insulated from sound from outside, but I could hear everything inside the hotel.
Situation : The location is excellent. All of the museums, churches, bars and restaurants are on your doorstep.
I spent two nights at Al Tuscany in October 2014. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the walled city. I had a large double room on the top floor with a view over the rooftops of Lucca. The room was very nicely decorated and the bed was firm, but very comfortable. So far, so good. On the other hand, the walls are paper thin, which meant I could hear literally everything that went on in other nearby rooms. I jumped the first couple of times I heard people entering their rooms as it literally sounded like they were unlocking my door, the sound was so clear. Also, the bathroom was absolutely tiny, and set into the eaves so the I had to crouch down to get to the toilet. Sitting room only. In the shower water pressure was good, but the holder for the shower was broken so it would only hang down and face the wall. In the end I had to hold the shower head in my hand. Oh, and the toilet had to be pumped 18-20 times in order to flush. I have to say the manager was extremely friendly and easy to get on with, though he did have a habit of waving away any concerns that were raised. When I was checking out and I made a comment on the size of the bathroom he said that it was built for regular sized people and not "big boys". Hmmmm. The breakfast buffet did not look very appetising and so I did not try it, preferring to eat in the many wonderful breakfast places on the doorstep. All in all, and taking into account the price and location, I probably would stay at Al Tuscany

No breakfast, no elevator, late wakeup callPublié le 29 août 2014
Les + : It has a good location, conveniently situated near the Gramshi square, where all the busses stop.
Les - : They should have some kind of breakfast, even just coffe and a muffin.
Situation : Close to downtown access. in Sienna
When they tell you your room is on the 2nd floor, it really is on the 3rd floor and it is hard to lug your stuff uf all those marble stairs...... I

Fantastic location in the very heart of Lucca!Publié le 27 oct. 2013
My wife and two children had a wonderful stay at Al Tuscany. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Lucca and close to all of the city's attractions. This building gives you a flavour for how the locals live: the top floor is the bed and breakfast, with separate flats on other floors occupied by local residents. The facilities were great: clean, comfortable and felt like home. The highlight of our stay was the proprietor, Claudio, a gentleman of the old school who went above and beyond the call of duty to welcome our family to Lucca. This included tips on where to eat, brewing tea for us and chocolate milk for the kids, letting us use his card for a parking space at the lot near the station, and driving us to the parking area when our stay at Lucca was finished. I cannot recommend Al Tuscany or Claudio enough: so much nicer and more comfortable than staying at an impersonal hotel, it was the highlight of our trip to Tuscany.

Quaint , rustic, old Italy !Publié le 14 sept. 2013 sur Hotels.com
Claudio was warm and charming. He welcomed us with wine and bruschetta, his warm inviting personality made our stay personable. al Tuscany is not the Ritz, but carries a charm I enjoyed. Claudio provided 2 bikes for my daughter and I to ride around the walls of Lucca. our AC didn't work one night due to a remote button having been pushed...but he had it running for us the next night no problem. he offered to take us to the train station when we left....there is also a lift to get heavy bags to the 4 th level rooms. he rooms are not big...but all we did was sleep anyway! breakfast is served in one room at one big table..giving the chance to meet the others in the bed and breakfast.
