Très bon emplacement
Superbe hôtel. À 5mn de marche du Pier et 10mn de la 3eme avenue et de la station de métro. Par contre la piscine n’est plus du tout ensoleillé à partir de 15h environ. L’accès à notre voiture est géré par un voiturier. Location de vélos gratuite pour 4 h maximum. Emplacement de parking de l’hôtel se paie cher 60€/jour taxes comprise. Pour notre départ nous avons eu droit à un piquet de grève en bas de l’hôtel avec les nuisances sonores qui vont avec dès 6/7 h du matin, pas agréable au réveil.

Nice and new hotel, well decorated. The room fridge is empty and not coffee machine of kettle. We asked for kettle and got it quickly

SUPERBE
Nous avons ADORÉ le Viceroy. L'hôtel est idéalement situé et la chambre était parfaite : spacieuse, propre, literie de qualité, etc. Nous avions sélectionné une chambre avec vue sur l'océan, c'était magique ! Mention spéciale au personnel de l'hôtel. Tout le monde était très gentil et serviable avec nous. Je recommande chaleureusement cet hôtel <3

Un Viel hôtel assez bien rénové qui veut se donner un air hyper chic sans toutefois l’atteindre, mais en chargeant les prix des 5 étoiles.... Il y a même une surchage « Amenities « de 33/jour! Sans que l’on sache de quoi il s’agit?q Hôtel way overpriced!

L’hôtel est superbe (sauf la façade extérieure qui n’est pas belle) avec une jolie terrasse avec piscine à l’extérieur. Il est bien placé pour profiter du quartier de Santa Monica, de la plage et de son pier. Nous avons loué des vélos pour aller jusqu’à Venice beach, c’était très cool.

A truly exceptional hotel. Service is friendly, smooth and courteous; from the moment you arrive you are in the hotel staffs orbit. Very polite and caring front of house. My family enjoyed our stay very much and will not hesitate to book again.

The hotel experience wasn't what I expected it to be, the location was fine, but was offered a pool view room, it was a view of the car park, and if you looked right, yes you could see the pool, so mis sold to me, also they had protestors every morning at 7am, so you couldn't sleep in if you wanted to - and for me, every aspect of service was more about getting a tip than actually offering good service.

Decent hotel but worth the price. It’s a rip off. The bed and pillows were cheap and not comfortable. Location is good. Bathrooms are renovated and nice.

Do not stay at this property until the contract dispute with their union employees has been resolved. Every morning we were awoken VERY early to loud drumming and intentionally irritating sounds blasted via multiple bullhorns directly toward the building. We had to walk through multiple security guards to go in and out of the building. The property was fine, location was nice... but this completely ruined our experience for a peaceful getaway. There was no mention of the possibility of distrubance when we checked in, so it was such an unpleasant surprise. Viceroy should be up front with patrons about this situation and offer SOME sort of compensation for the disruption.

We needed an early check in and they were so accommodating! The renovations are great. The restaurant was tasty, all the staff kind and attentive. The 2 cute little pool(s) are heated, and surrounded by the hotel, so it isn't too windy. One is for the littles and one for bigger ones, side by side. The hotel has free bikes to rent, it's right across the street from the ocean and steps from the Santa Monica pier.

The design and renovation is gorgeous. The location is good, one block away from the Santa Monica beach. Service is good. The garlic fries at the restaurant is one of the best fries I ever tried. Anti-human sliding door design, can't close the door tightly, the door pinched my finger twice. I can’t say about the cleanliness. Multiple black Stains on the towel.

Overall the property is very nice and well kept. The rating reflect the delay in having rooms ready on time. My room wasn’t ready until almost 4 PM and no housekeeping was performed from the first to the second day. Details like these will weigh on this type of preperty.

The entrance, restaurant & pool areas are great. Front desk was friendly and all the staff were very friendly & kind. The rooms are form over function (eg closet doors that couldn’t be opened fully to use drawers due to how close the bed was to the door) and the A/C seemed to be turned off at night. Little things that were minor misses eg Maid service forgot face towels & when we requested them, we got more bath towels. The rooms are smallish. The biggest issue was the early wake up by housekeeping union protests (banging drums & honking at 7am). Management did let us know but only after check in. It would’ve been nice to be forewarned so we could seek other accommodation and get to sleep in on our vacation. Also lots of adding fees that added nearly $100 a night on top of the room. Some of them may just be typical in California. But it would be nice to know the total with all fees when booking.

Great location, walkable to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Be sure to hit Main street for more unique shopping. Hotel was clean and quiet. Only thing missing was a balcony but the windows still opened and allowed for the beach breeze and sunshine. Room was always made up upon our return. Would come back and stay again!

Not what you’d expect when going on vacation. Hotel staff was on strike so there was no service, early wake ups with loud banging noises and unsafe conditions outside not allowing us to use a front door

The staff and front deck team were warm, authentic, welcoming, understated, and sincere. Free bikes to cruise the boardwalk from Santa Monica pier to Venice, free and unlimited bottles of water and great location. We really liked the vibe in this very fine property which stands out as a nice place to stay when so many options exist today.
