Les + : Close to Sefton Park and easy to get to Liverpool centre aswell
Les - : The room we had was small and should not have been advertised for 3/4 adults. The extra bed was tiny and uncomfortable
Situation : Sefton Park is beautiful
The staff are fantastic and the food is brilliant

Character hotel, good base to enjoy Liverpool

Publié le 4 août 2014
Les + : Location. Character
Les - : Fresh up Decor. Choice of breakfast cereals, juices etc.
Situation : Sefton Park, Lark Lane, train to Liverpool centre/dock area/ museums, on to Wirral seaside. Crosby beach.
Our second stay. Sefton Park Hotel has been converted from an old house right by the lake at the south end of this lovely expansive park. Handy for the train into the centre from St Michaels, lots of choices of restaurants in Lark Lane a short walk away. Once a consulate, rooms are different but clean and in good order. Last time we had a big room with bath, this one was quite small for a double, with shower, no bath. Some minor DIY needed (TV wall bracket), some old prints of clippers rather faded - added to the charm! Very friendly and accommodating staff, e.g. when we were late for breakfast they cooked one anyway. We didn't have an evening meal there so can't comment, breakfast was ok not brill. We would stay there again, better than the standard soulless box.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. No elevator. Main problem for me was lack of desk to enable work.

Nice hotel overlooking the park

Publié le 18 juil. 2014
Les + : very good superior budget hotel
Les - : nothing to improve, but be advised if travelling with an elderly relative (as I was) there are fairly steep steps into the hotel
Lovely hotel, overlooking the park with easy access to the city centre. The staff were exceptional, such friendly service, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was freshly cooked, plenty of it and well presented. The rooms were clean and comfortable, free wifi was a bonus.

Good bargain by a lovely pond

Publié le 23 mai 2014
I booked this for a work trip, I needed something cheap with parking. I was worried it might be "you get what you pay for" but when I got there I was pleasantly surprised with the friendly service, the lovely area the hotel is in and the fact that this place has some Beatles heritage. I enjoyed a walk in the evening and the character of the hotel and area. The room was clean and when I ordered breakfast the service couldn't be better.

Nice Hotel, friendly staff. Situated in park

Publié le 14 mai 2014
Les + : The room was to good standard with modern fittings and well decorated, it was also only across the road from a beautiful park
Les - : The beds could do with a foam topper, they were very hard and uncomfortable. Perhaps more sound proving or an earlier last call at the bar in the week
Situation : The hotel is in Sefton Park, it has a lake in the centre of 16 hectares of land, a pleasant walk. There is also an indoor greenhouse/palm house.
We were welcomed warmly and were very impressed with the standard of the room, it is important to note that the hotel requires a £25 holding fee which was not mentioned before hand (even after emailing staff) we were also disappointed that it was not overlooking the park/lake as stated in the description but views of a somewhat busy road. The room featured an en-suite shower & toilet modernly decorated. Unfortunately our room was on the ground floor close to the bar which gets quite noisy at night time, not helped by the fact the football was on. We were also a bit dismayed that they had pushed two single beds together essentially turning a twin single room into a double room. The bed was very uncomfortable but I improvised & used the spare duvet set to make it less so. The staff were extremely friendly and despite these few things we most enjoyed our stay.

Cheap and cheerful

Publié le 10 avr. 2014 sur Hotels.com
Clean room which had obviously only recently been redecorated as there was still a smell of paint. Nice location close to the picturesque Sefton Park. Only minor gripe was the electric shower which ran cold a number of times! Otherwise very satisfied with the single night price.
