What an amazing hotel everything about it was excellent. Food was amazing and the standard room we stayed in was spotless. Very friendly staff defo booking and going back next New Year’s Eve !

Lovely friendly hotel
Lovely hotel very modern decor for a Country House hotel. Staff were all brilliant. Special mention for the chef who we didn't see but produced consistently great food. Our room was in the front of the hotel so there was a bit of noisy, probably tractor, activity around 430am really not a busy road though. The only very slight issue was the water wasn't very hot. There were lots of (well behaved) dogs both staying and using the bar which was great for us but may not suit everyone.

Service was excellent and a very good breakfast. We could not see clearly out of windows due to the sealed units being gone. Ideal for visiting north Norfolk.

Is this really an hotel
The Food was of a good standard, the premises were very clean, and Joseph the barman/ waiter was charming. But we felt this was only an illusion of an hotel, there was no soul to it.The restaurant didn't open for lunch or dinner on the Monday that we stayed. We were assured that we would be able to get a drink in the bar after going out for Dinner, but on our return the hotel was in darkness and the bar locked up, this was only 9.30pm On both nights we stayed the fire alarms were triggered, and we had to wait at least 30 minutes for someone to come and turn them off. I thought it a very inhospitable experience

Our room was very nice with a comfortable bed and everything we needed. Good to have a sofa and an armchair. Friendly young man on reception when we arrived. However, breakfast was not great. Limited staff who seemed stressed and unable to cope.

Hotel and room good with plenty of parking. But restaurant not open and not much alternative locally. Also we had problems because we came in towards end of breakfast service. Sorted OK. But overall not the best.

Nice hotel to look at and spotlessly clean and attractive common areas. Struggling like many places for adequate staff so no supper available. Room cleaning on in between day was lacking usual expected service

Not your average country pub hotel, quite modern, very clean. Good breakfast menu, tasty food but unfortunately lunch and dining not available during our visit due to loss of the chef and staff shortages. Nevertheless, there are easily accessible restaurants around, and a nice stay all in all.

Friendly helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Provided free cold water for us at night. Free plentiful parking on site. Lovely location. Excellent breakfast with a good choice. Would definitely stay again.

Found out on arrival the restaurant wasn't open, the only reason we booked two nights. So we checked out a night earlier Room 4 is not great if you're a light sleeper. As the road noise is intermittent throughout the night.

Great stay. The hotel staff were great and professional Only minor comment, the room was very hot and an air conditioning unit might be useful. We would stay again.

We sat out in the beautiful courtyard garden in the evening with a pint of draught bitter and a G & T. So relaxing and comfortable. Hotel was good value, breakfast was great and no negatives

The room was clean and comfortable. Broken tiles in the bathroom which was otherwise clean. Disturbed by noisy dogs. Food was excellent but waited over an hour between courses.

Was not too sure what to expect but on arrival was really impressed. The picture does not do it justice, very nicely decorated and furnished. The room we had was very spacious (middle priced room) and had everything we needed for our stay. It was a nice place to come back to after a day out in Norfolk, very friendly staff and a warm atmosphere.
