Very good - go for it ;o)
Hotel is welcoming, people are nice and Professional. Room was comfy, super clean, free spot for the car, breakfast so British (really liked it). I felt like a "guest" & not like a random room number, I really appreciated it. Plus we can have a dinner at the Blue bell restaurant nearby (plus free wifi) at a very moderate price. Defo go for it, won't regret it !!!

Truly excellent
This is the perfect place to stay and were it not closing in the near future, we would most certainly return. Jackie, her mum, Jackie's two little helpers and Milo all made us feel very welcome. The rooms are lovely and the lounge is wonderfully welcoming. The evening meals are just superb (and excellent value at £33 per head) and we wished we were staying longer. Good luck Jackie and family!

Fourth time at the Coach House
We really enjoyed our stay at the Coach House. The staff are very attentive and helpful. We particularly like the little touches, such as home made cake and scones on arrival. We would recommend the evening meal as the food is very good and reasonably priced.

Although the service was fantastic and the food was good,the whole place needs refubing,it is very outdated and in our room the wallpaper was peeling in places and the fridge needs replacing,the carpet needs replacing,I know in these uncertain times are hard,if they can not afford a refurb the they should reduce the cost of staying drastically,not a bad stay but could be better.

great surroundings and friendly staff
We have stayed here before but it was a long time ago. unfortunately the rooms appear not to have been decorated in the 10years since our last visit - meaning the hot water was a little erratic and the decor was tired. the staff are great bur the random nature of the menu meant that we chose to eat out. for wha tit is the price is a little on the high side.

DISAPPOINTED!!!!
Disappointed. 2 tiny over baked stale scones and a slice of sponge cut in half with a cup of coffee do NOT make "Afternoon Tea"! The lamb meatballs for dinner were tasteless.The bed was too soft, the room far too hot above the kitchen and the rickety loud old desk fan too noisy to leave on! The toilet handle broke during the night! Wifi did not work at all. Would not recommemd this place :(

Great Stay
Just had a lovely stay here for a short break to Northumberland. We were made to feel very welcome. Breakfasts are very filling with plenty of choice with local produce being used wherever possible. The location was great with easy access to routes across Northumberland and the Borders.

This is our third time staying at the Coach House. The welcome and food is always top notch. Think the rooms are spacious and the bed comfy but the room and bathroom could do with a bit of an upgrade. Our shower unfortunately didn’t work.

A super little guest house who went the extra mile in accommodating my late arrive and early departure with in-room breakfast. Very cosy, warm and comfortable. Lovely clean room, excellent bed, soft towels and excellent service. Will be back again. Many thanks.

Stopp på landeveien mellom Newcastle og Edinburgh.
Var der bare for natten, men rommet og servicen var helt topp. Det var heller ikke noe aber at det var en pub 200m borte i gata hvor man kunne få både vått og tørt.

Easy to find
Lovely hotel, staff and food. We were made very welcome with tea and cake on arrival. Room lovely and clean. Only downside was "shared landing" which meant shared bathroom! Also it was an attic room so had lovely beams but a low ceiling. As one of us was 6'3 it was a bit awkward. Avoid room 7 or 8 if you are tall. I'd go back again as all the other rooms were great. Oh and they had a lovely comfortable lounge with an honesty bar.

COMFORT IN THE BORDERS
Great base for exploring The Borders. Nice touches such as tea and cakes on arrival and a very comfortable lounge with honesty bar but WITHOUT a TV make it very relaxing. Good food on offer if booked in advance removes the need to drive in the evenings. Enjoyable few days.

After long drive nice to be hit with warm welcome in great country surroundings, just ensure you book if you want a meal, although the blue bell pub is 100yrds up the road, note: if walking to pub take a torch as pitch black walking back. Great stay lovely breakfast will be back

We stayed in room 7, which was the old main building. Room in particular bathroom needed refurbished as one side against wall can only use one side to get out. Really comfortable bed, excellent hostess called Tihesha who served us with breakfast both mornings. Tasty breakfast not that hot first morning though. Lovely farm surroundings and met owners who were nice and help with bags on arrival. We will return but will stay in courtyard rooms next time :-)

Ideal home from home when visiting Northumberland
Very friendly staff and welcoming environment. Great for day trips to spots all around Northumberland, with Alnwick to the South, Seahouses, Bamburgh and Holy Island to the East and Berwick-on-Tweed to the North. Nice to start the day with a very good breakfast and have the option to book a Dinner, served just for the guests, in the evening when you return from a trip. Then join other guests in the spacious and well-furnished Lounge to discuss the days outing and make plans for the next day. And with an honesty bar and a "switch of the lights when you retire" it really is a home from home - without the cleaning, cooking and washing up. What could be nicer!

The welcome when you arrive and the tea and cake was a lovely welcoming touch especially after a long journey. Room was lovely with a lovely large bed to unwind on . Evening meal was amazing full of flavour can't fault any of the service I received for the whole duration of my stay . Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone else who wishes to visit.

the Comfort of home
Nestled amongst the borders' hills the warm welcome we received at the Coach House from our host as she welcomed us into her 'home' and upgraded our room because of a recent cancellation was second to none. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. Excellent staff, good food, a good bed and a hot shower with a very comfortable and spacious guest's lounge with honesty box for the drinks ... what else would you want!!

Warm welcome with afternoon tea. Delicious, well-priced dinner, with good selection of value wines. Comfortable courtyard room, well equipped although a little tight on space. Great sleep quality and very quiet. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.

Nice Guest House - not too far from the seaside
Very welcoming place. Although on a main road, it was very quiet. Lovely lounge area in which to relax and great afternoon teas as part of the deal. Well situated for north Northumberland and close to the Scottish border.

We had one of our best ever stays at this hotel. The service was extraordinary and so friendly. Afternoon tea was lovely and so relaxing. We cannot wait to go to the hotel again. The food was beautiful.

Owners went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The afternoon teas were an added extra that we weren't expecting and the chocolate cake and scones were delicious.
