Excellent hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful and there is also off-street parking. The only issue we had was the low water pressure for the hot water, so taking a shower was a little awkward.

La personne qui nous a reçu , était " maniérée " ! La chambre était propre, mais petite et chargée par le mobilier. Nous avons très chaud sans chauffage malgré la saison( novembre). Le parking est assez petit. Il fallait remplir une fiche sur nos désirs alimentaires , hors Buffet , et l'heure pour le petit déjeuner . Bonne idée en soi , sauf que rien n'était prêt, et que nous avons vu des croissants arriver alors que nous avions fini notre repas!

Séjour de 2 nuits dans cet hôtel particulièrement bien tenu pour un établissement de petite taille. Chambre propre et de bon goût. Petit déjeuner GB copieux et personnel serviable et agréable. Petit plus : une petite piscine intérieure bien chauffée et équipée d'un sauna !

Superbe hôtel avec piscine chauffée
Un superbe petit hôtel à 10 min à pied du centre ville. Facile d'accès avec un parking fermé la nuit, les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables. Le personnel est très accueillant et au petits soins. Une piscine chauffée avec un sauna. Le petit déjeuner so british est traditionnel mais très copieux. Je conseille vivement cet hôtel. Seul bémol, un peu de bruit en fin de soirée si vous avez une chambre donnant sur la rue. Le prix peut paraître un peu élevé (en même temps je m'y suis pris à la toute dernière minute), surtout par rapport à d'autres hôtels du coin mais c'est le seul qui possède une piscine ;)

Très satisfait
Nous avons passé deux nuit au Canterbury Hotel et nous en sommes très content. Le personnel était souriant et sympathique. Nous avons eu dès notre arrivée un plan de la ville ainsi qu'une liste des restaurants (de tous types/budgets/cuisines) recommandés. L'hôtel a été refait il y a peu et est impeccable. La chambre était très propre et la salle de bain récente. Le petit déjeuner compris est très bien. Il y a une piscine intérieure chauffée en accès libre pour les clients de l'hôtel. Il est possible de rejoindre le centre ville à pieds en 15 minutes. Nous le recommandons.

Great place to stop close to the ports and Eurotunnel. Comfy beds, big enough room. Excellent breakfast, friendly team. Would also make a good base for Canterbury and the area around.

Parking difficult. No elevator, though our bags were carried to our room.Ice not available in bar. Good breakfast. Lovely gardens. Manageable Walk 20 minutes to city center. No restaurants within easy walking distance. A dated hotel with no air conditioning

A nice hotel, perfect walking distance from the town, friendly staff and comfy. It is a little dated and in need of some tlc in places. The radiator in our room made a clicking/dripping noise throughout the night which was also a little annoying. The breakfast in the morning was brilliant and the availability of a car park was great. Would definitely return, perhaps not in that room.

All staff very friendly and helpful especially Rudo. Great breakfasts. . Bonus heated pool but sauna no longer available as advertised on website. Comfy beds. I would suggest booking room in back part of building due to traffic sounds noticeable at the front of building

It's a decent value hotel, clean rooms. Heating works. Indoor heated (but not warm) pool which is nice to relax. Facilities aren't all in perfect working condition but this is totally worth it as it's only minor issues here and there. Within walking distance (15-20 min) of anything central for a much more reasonable price than some other central hotels. Breakfast is super. Plenty of choice in the buffet.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city center and has its own small car park, which is really convenient as parking costs are extortionate in the city. The hotel itself was sparkling clean and the room was a good temperature. The receptionist was polite and helpful although reception was left unattended the next morning and we could not find anyone despite waiting twice and ringing the bell. The breakfast was amazing and they had everything yiu could possibly want or need. All self service apart from the toast and we didn't feel rushed or limited. There was a little noise from the the road but not enough to cause an issue with sleeping. I would definitely consider staying again in the future if needed.

Would recommend.
Had a few days getaway to Canterbury nice and near the town centre. The hotel was well presented clean and tidy the breakfast was very nice did miss not having a proper shower as it's a bath set up would stay again .

Overall a good hotel. Efficient and friendly staff, easy walk to town, pleasant room ( on the ground floor as requested) Limited parking but we found a space. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel appx 10/15 minute walk to city centre. We were situated in a room in an added building to rear of hotel which was quiet as the main hotel is situated on a busy road. The room was clean but probably in need of a refurb. Buffet breakfast was very good and cannot fault friendliness and helpfulness of the staff

Tired rooms but good location
Good little hotel about 10/15 mins walk to the centre of Canterbury. Rooms a little tired but comfortable bed and nice breakfast. Didn’t use the pool or bar so can’t comment on those. Found room really cold but managed to get the radiator to work - but could still do with a bleed. Tv a little small for size of the room. Really not trying to moan as was all good and what we needed for a night away to wander the city.

Great value for money
Great weekend away in Canterbury, hotel was good value for money and genuine short 15 minute walk to the city centre. Lovely breakfast included and friendly staff. Room was lovely and spacious. My wife did request a hair dryer as there wasn’t one in our room and unfortunately there wasn’t one available but she managed. Would definitely stay again if we come back again.

An enjoyable stay at the hotel. Staff friendly, good sized rooms and good breakfast. Pool was a bonus.Good location - it is a 5min walk to the Cathedral and city centre. I'd recommend this hotel and stay again.

We had an enjoyable stay at The Canterbury from arrival to departure. Very friendly and polite staff, always happy to assist in any way. Room 11 at the back, spacious, quiet and warm with a comfy bed, nice little swimming pool, great buffet breakfast, perhaps eggs to order would be nice, rather than just scrambled. The hotel is ideally situated for a walk into the city.

Worth a stay .
Breakfast was a Buffett style hash browns , bacon etc also croissants ham cheese . Couldn’t fault it at all . We had a room on the 2nd floor at the front . There were traffic works just down the road and the traffic was abit noisy so take ear plugs . Also a car accident at 1 am so police cars & ambulance. It is a 15 minute walk into the centre of Canterbury . The pool was extremely clean . To be honest it was a lovely stay and the staff are so friendly. I would recommend this hotel and stay again .
