I had bed bugs on my bed board and I woke up itching like crazy had to get my man and 3 kids and left in the middle of the night.

The room was held together by tape… I booked last minute for Valentine’s Day since my hubby wanted a room with a tub. I found this and thought it was a good price. The tub worked, but instead of a faucet to fill it up, there was an unfinished plastic pvc pipe contraption. I asked for another room thinking that this was unacceptable, but the other room he showed me was creepy. There was a two way mirror in front of the tub, that faced the other room. It was also old smelled of mold and looked like it had been painted by kids. Not what we’re into… ok pvc pipe room it is. Everything was ok, except I couldn’t help but notice there were an absence of women? Why were there so many men there? Idk. Felt creepy but I was with hubby, so ok… in the morning(valentines day) the manager came knocking, and tried to ENTER the room with his card 1 hour before check out. I was not dressed yet, and found it really weird that he knew we were in the room and tried to open the door anyways…. He asked if we were going to stay another night…. Why wouldn’t he call the room? Why didn’t he knock I twice? Why did he need to know this in advance? It was not check out time yet… all questions left unanswered. We checked out in time and when leaving I found a sharp (aka a used injection needle) in the tisssue box that I had been wiping my nose with all night. This was really creepy, unsanitary, and unsafe. Tahanj go we made it out alive. When I told the front desk about it, they did not seem v. Shocked.

The Receptionist was friendly, but not helpful. The room has a lot of potential, but has been obviously neglected over the years.. The hot water was out.. (Was told it’d be fixed any minute, but waited hours and it never was) Also I didn’t realize from the pictures, or the listed amenities (Which was quite deceptive by the way ) That the shower was completely exposed into the main room.. No big deal, but with no hot water it wasn’t pleasant at all… The remote was also missing from our room.. I informed the front desk and they told me they didn’t have any other remotes.. WiFi was also listed as available, but unfortunately didn’t reach our room.. I told the front Desk just and she just offered to nudge their router a bit closer.. (Didn’t work) The A/C was also not the greatest our room stayed relatively warm throughout the night… I don’t believe I’ll be coming back.

The people were nice, but there was a dead mouse in my room. The curtains didn't fit the windows. The shower didn't work. The toilet seat was broken. It's really a shame.

Love it or
I think this is a great Hidden Gem experience. It's not for everybody, but if you like a good value, atmosphere that is unique, good people watching opportunities, this is a great place to stop by. The staff is very friendly and it's generally a one-of-a-kind place.

My room had amenities that I would expect to see in a room priced 2 to 3 times more than this room was priced. The building is an older building situated next to I35 South which appears to be in a renovation stage. The only thing that was a little lacking was the parking area, but still quite acceptable.

Terrible, room smelled and we had to request another room. There was one pillow and two towels for the king sized room. Internet did not work, pool and jacuzzi closed and no breakfast as advertised. Very disappointed.

Hidden Gem. We did a last minute reservation and the place was 100 times better than we could have hope. She customer service 10 out of 10. The girl that checked us in was extra nice. We got a 2 bed and the room was huge, the tub fits 2 full grown ups comfortably

So I checked in and on entering the room, it wasn't cleaned, the toilet was recently used with excreta not flushed the entire room was smelly...I complained to the front desk that I can't stay in the room I was given yet another room and guess what, it was worst than the first trash all over the room bed not layed etc...was given a third room which was ok

I had to leave without staying. The room smelled, had blood stains on the wall and was not clean. While checking on a couple came to the desk stating their room was so bad they wanted to leave. It was non refundable so I lost $200. Do NOT stay here.

The zen selling point is a scam. The rooms are not individually decorated as described. The lobby upon entry is covered in water under the rug with no steps to keep it tidy. There is a mandatory additional deposit to pay at check in (refundable) that doesn’t make sense since the stay is prepaid. The room was dirty; behind the nightstands were not vacuumed, hair on the sheets. The only good thing about the room was the shower looked as it had been recently renovated and was to my expectation. The ac window unit had impressively prevalent levels of mold that were visible on the outside and inside of the vents. This place is an absolute scam for what we paid. Do NOT stay here. It’s no better than a motel 6. I will not be staying here again. Very run down and not well kept.

Roach, ants, broken shower knob, patched ceiling from water damage, burned ceiling lights, pillows were worth like $1. Tv was from the early 2000s cable had 3 channels one of them was black and white lol. But overall average cause the place was snazzy and different. If the property had more love and money would be worth it, but it’s just not.

Simply put DON’T STAY HERE. Everything the hotel offers in its amenities is a lie. Dirty rooms, bad smell, old facilities and in poor condition. Very little privacy in the rooms. The shower has no curtain and those who stay with you can see everything. This hotel is more of a motel. Disgusting. There is no good rest since you can hear all the noise from outside and from the other rooms. I feel cheated. We paid a lot of money since we were staying for an event weekend in the city, but it's not fair. That money was not worth for what they offered us. Horrible experience overall.

The property is not fit to be on Expedia. It’s a result of cutting corners on DIY projects using old and unsanitary items. Bloodstains on the mattresses. Dirty linen. Shady guests. Poor repairs. I walked away and booked another hotel out of pocket.

Elevator smelled like blood or something that was spilled. Did not have enough towels and staff did not answer calls. Was advised to leave used towels outside by the door but did not get replacement towels. Only had a bedsheet on the bed, no conforters. Other than that, the staff was pretty helpful.

they had no cook so no breakfast. When I got to my room there were still clothes from a previous customer out in the room including dirty underwear. The bed had no duve sheet just a thin fitted sheet. I found cockroaches in the bathroom several times. I felt as though I definitely wasted my money and was not worth the amount paid.

I was so disappointed no towels,thr room was very very raggedy trash was in the garbage in my room. Went to front desk no one was available..i said hello numerous times and no help so i left. There was no breakfast as stated. My bathroom had tissue stuck in the holes..showere curtains had no hooks..tissue stuck in holes the walls like this was super trashy. The room was nothing like the pics on the web..SO DISAPPOINTED 😞
