« The Spa facilities make this place as the rooms are not as large or luxurious as the photos appear. The bar and dining area is excellent and the staff very helpful and pleasant. However, if you do not book directly you are not entitled to as much time in the Spa and member of staff was rather dismissive of us for booking via Expedia. »

« Great hotel very comfortable bed. All seems new and clean. Just 2 little things, the bathroom floor creaked so felt bad for my neighbors in the night and couldn't seem to turn the heating down in the bathroom, so it was very hot. »

« Hillthwaite feels staying in a family home rather than a hotel and the warm welcome certainly matches. The room was spacious and bedding extremely comfortable, which was perfect for a mini break in the area. Extra points for the bathtub (in addition to a full shower)! Breakfast was excellent and the staff is lovely. »

« Quite a nice quiet place but not worth anything like what they charge. There were stains on the bed covers which they came and changed straight away. Breakfast wasn't worth bothering with, hardly anything there on the continental option, we waited a while for drinks that didnt come so we gave up and left. »

« An incredible 3 days in one of the luxurious treehouses. Facilities were superb, staff were all lovely and accommodating, such a fantastic place for a country break. Dinner & breakfast excellent. Restaurant staff were warm and friendly. Room was clean and well-appointed - copper outside bath was sublime. »
